 look at Corypheus he can possess even by forcing the will of the host.

That seems to be unique to him, though. As for whether a soul is destroyed in the process I don't know if we have any hints one way or the other. (Though it may be that his process is just fatal, and he bypasses the souls "destroy each other" process that way.)

Since this is back, my understanding is that Inquisition answers this question.

The game represents Kieran and Urthemiel as sharing one body, but still being mentally and spiritually two beings: the OG and the B. In fact I'm given to understand that Flemeth is able to take Urthemiel from Kieran's body without killing him or removing his soul. Which doesn't really support my previous understanding of the Ritual (namely, that it worked because Kieran doesn't have a soul yet and the Archdemon is suckered into becoming his soul, sort of like an involuntary version of that thing Kurama did in the backstory of Yu Yu Hakusho in order to not die) but answers the question of "did Morrigan kill her child's soul?"

Well seeing as the body doesnt get up again as an Archdemon, something has happened to both souls.

I agree with that much, but the Old God soul might not be destroyed. Just displaced. I have a feeling that this will come up at some point on down the line.
