Nobody threw anything in your face. The thread title is a title for the thread. When you make a post about what you want in a game, does that mean you're throwing your preferences (sexual or otherwise) in everyone else's face? No. Chill out and don't take things so personally.

I did not say that. I was just commenting on homosexuality in general.

I understand your feelings but please know that those are the minority. They just happen to be the very vocal minority.

Anyway! I might as well just keep my Shepard single forever, single and dedicated to the mission! Can't be bothered by silly romance.

The arguement can be made that you should leave considering this thread is about m/m and f/f relationships in a game that does not have them and would mean this thread as no relation to the game.

Well the argument can be made that since ME1 DID have a F/F relationship and ME2 is a continuation of ME1 then this thread is perfectly valid. And since there has been no OFFICIAL confirmation that there won't be at least M/M in the game, then the speculation is also valid.

Personally for me its whatever. People like what they like. But what I cannot stand is when people who prefer same sex relationships get in my face and start blatently advertizing their sexuality. I dont do that and its quite rude.

Why is it that when it's concerning same-sex relationships it's considered "advertising"? You don't get any complaints about the blatant "advertising" of heterosexuality of Sheploo from the trailers and the interviews do you? No one bats an eyelash when Sheploo is considered the "ladies' man." Watch out, he might impregnate you while you aren't looking!

so i can play a femshep in ME2

BioWare listens to fans. Look at the combat and exploration in Mass Effect 2; both the result of feedback. A DLC is all that is asked.

Ok, while I do support the option for samesex romance in BioWare games, especially since they are practically the only ones who do it in western games, This Picture Was Hilarious, I lol'd.

Although, I would have done the topic better. Making it a demand rather than a discussion turns it into either a flame war or a petition thread, which doesn't help at all, it doesn't show interest, but frustration. Should make it "Samesex Romance in ME" and just turn it into a discussion instead, like what would you like to see in ME3? In future instalments? In other BW games? Would having stereotypes (some ppl assumed SuZe was lesbian/bi) be a huge disappointment? Should they make more bisexual or completely homosexual love interests?

Edit: Honestly, anything that fits into the story imo, I'd hate to have them throw in a LI only for it to shatter the immersion.

I'm still holding out for Samara for my FemShep. If it weren't for Casey's 'no f/f romance' line, I'd hope for a Talimance, Miranda, or Subject Zero option. I hope there's somewhere to mod the PC version if nothing else.

I would guess cause heterosexuality is the norm.
There is quite a lot of homosexuality going around these days on TV.

It would seem the campaign for all things gay won't end until everything IS gay.

I can't imagine Bioware didn't know this would happen. Same sex romances have been one of the most frequent threads in the Bioware forums for ages.



I guess the only thing we can do now is continue pouring on heartfelt pleas for ME3 and hope we aren't excluded again.

Fox News is a mouthpiece of the ultra-conservative branch of the conservative party in the US.  It is also like the third highest ranked news network.  (Maybe second.)

Their most heinous host caught wind of the fact that there was a sex scene where people actually took their clothes off in ME1.  He was in an uproar, and rounded up the usual guest 'experts' to generally spend an hour or so condemning the game for corrupting the minds of minors the world over and generally calling Bioware pimps and worse. 

Then the world pointed and laughed at Fox News for a few seconds.

'BioWare' doesn't wish to say anything. Various developers and writers might want to say something. It's obvious that some are open to the idea of same-sex romances while others are not.

No, it just means that you're earning points to get hit with a ban hammer. You're also likely to cause backlash from other fans to start campaigning to keep homosexual relations OUT of the games purely out of spite.

Same sex relations are not going to happen in ME2. There isn't going to be some magical DLC that suddenly turns one of the squadmates gay/bi/lesbian. Casey Hudson was clear about the no same sex relations in his interview.

But hey keep on pushing the mods patience just don't whine when they decide to ban you.

I love how you girls are all for like any of the women. You're so diverse! It's not a big deal to me as I don't really prefer -any- of the men... So again my Shepard will be single!
