Did anyone else catch the debut of Penny Dreadful this week? What did you think? I really enjoyed the first episode, with its heady mix of gothic horror characters, brutal set pieces and stunning Victorian settings. I'm hopeful Penny Dreadful will soon become a contender for my favourite show on television.

I Checked YouTube. They give away the first episode for free, so I'll check it out. But wow, they aren't afraid to go in macabre directions, eh?

Yes, good show so far for me. Episode 2 was way better than the first one though. This show first caught my attention because of the Mass Effect 3 music heard in one of the trailers I saw on tv and of course also because of Josh Hartnett, he was one of my many bf's during my teenage days.
Can't wait for Episode 3 on sunday!

I tried but free episodes are not for filthy foreigners.
I'm so sick of region locking everywhere! There are literally zero legal means for me to watch season 2 of Da Vinci's Demons on my laptop either. Ugh. I might search for a crappy stream of this eventually then.

To be honest with you I would watch pretty much anything with Timothy Dalton ( my second favourite Bond ) or Eva Green ( one of my favourite Bond Girls ) so this show ( which starts both ) has been on my radar for quite some time and immediately jumped onto my list of 'must watch' tv shows.

First episode was brilliant. Nice setup, great actors, interesting characters. Second episode seemed to lose momentum but wasn't bad. Will keep watching.

*SPOILERS*
I thought Eva Green was absolutely sensational in that uber-creepy séance scene
Yes, some good acting, was very impressive.

I'm loving this show, it's creepy and with some gore but the story is solid which is normally rare in TV series with these themes.

I watched my crappy streams and I am loving this show as well. It's pretty different from what I expected when I watched the trailer. It's less scary/horror than I thought it would be. Which is good.
Instead I get stories based on Dracula, the Picture of Dorian Gray, and Frankenstein. Awesome! I haven't read the Frankenstein book, but after seeing the first three episodes I feel I really should. The story about Victor Frankenstein and the creature has really got my interest.
I wonder when we will learn more about Ethan (werewolf??).

On that point, exactly where does one find the spoiler tag these days?
Thrilled people are enjoying the show (none of mine are in the least bit interested)!
