I'm going to assume that my inquisitor will be at the youngest in their late twenties. Just looking at the apparent ages of the companions suggests that most are probably in their thirties. It will be interesting to play a slightly older protagonist, I think, and IMHO it fits better with the inquisitors position as a leader. Thats not to say it couldnt be done younger, Alexander the Great, quite a few of the eastern rulers etc were well respected by their early twenties. I just think a more experienced protagonist will fit better with the theme of the game.

My headcanon for my qunari inquisitor would be him being somewhere in his early 20s', so pretty pretty young. 

The poor guy won't even have his own life sorted out yet. He would be pessimistic and totally irresponsible with important things and so-not-ready to lead the inquisition. Constantly bitching and nagging about things, only thinking about having fun since he's too young to have seen much of the world.

well they said about 20-40 so

 

right now I'm thinking I'll probably play my inquisitor as around 25, similar to hawke and how I played my warden (I just like the symmetry/consistency). it's subject to change though, maybe late twenties or early thirties.. hmm..

Since I, personally, am on the 17th anniversary of my 28th birthday... I like picturing my Inquisitor to be about 28, or somewhere close to turning.  I had a good time back then and refuse to move.

I'm going to consider my first Inquisitor to be in his early 30's. He's Dalish, and I'd like to think he fought at the Battle of Denerim ten years earlier.
