Eleven female: early thirties.

40 is not old. Anyone who is truly "old" is too frail to be Inquisitor.
My inquisitors will probably be late 20s early 30s, like me.

If my Inq came out of the fade would I have an age?

My Inquisitor will be middle aged. Grizzled and bitter. Jack Bauer or Zaeed.
I don't like the idea of some young knucklehead leading an Inquisition. Seems silly.
Yeah, it's not like some Macedonian king in his early twenties can be the best military commander of his time and conquer most of the known world.
Oh, wait.
Not to say I'm rolling a young Inquisitor for my first run. Just that this idea that someone that young cannot possibly be an effective leader is wrong and not at all supported by real history.

They can, but in most examples of teenagers actually being effective leaders without giganormus screwups (basically just Alexander) the whole thing usually falls apart the second they kick the bucket.

Mid twenties to early thirties. Hawke's age basically.

I'm pretty sure the official word on this matter is 25-39.
Old enough to have wisdom and experience, young enough to still have vitality.
Not sure where I want my character(s) to fall in that range personally, I think mostly because it seems relatively pointless.

Octavian Augustus? Scipio Africanus? Joan of Arc? Elizabeth I? Just to mention a few of the most famous successful leaders that at least began their careers in a position of power between their late teens and early twenties. And I think all of them left pretty good legacies: Octavian's "I found Rome a city of brick and left it a city of marble", Scipio ending the threat from Carthage, Joan of Arc's martyr status inspiring the French to finish driving out the British, Elizabeth setting up England to be a great colonial power and the greatest empire in history...
I'd say that the fact that some other people after them did a bad job doesn't retroactively remove the merit in theirs. Alexander's problem was that he was an incredibly talented strategist and a natural leader, but was terrible at everything else. He couldn't effectively rule an empire during peacetime, and therefore he couldn't make it durable.
There is even precedent in Thedas itself for young leaders. Celene, for once. Maric and Loghain in Ferelden. Even the Divine is said to be relatively young for the position, so her followers shouldn't have a problem following the only survivor of the veil tear regardless of his/her age.

Forever Young, I want to be, Forever Young. So, early to mid twenties for me for ALL my characters.

I was going to have my inquisitor around 30s to mid 40s in age. Essentially he would be old enough to have had an established life and be established in his profession and have some wisdom but still be young enough to do a lot of living.

In my headcanon my female Elf Inquisitor will be mid 20's. Young, but cynical and wary of those she doesn't know well. ![]()

I'd prefer the Inquisitor to be mid-thirties to mid-forties. Seems like I'm in the minority for that, though.
Well,I'd want at least one of my inquisitors to represents that age group.I like making each playthrough as unique as possible...

I'm guessing your inquisitor will have to be at least 18, and anything past that age is up to your imagination/headcanon/quizzy's appearance.
Though honestly the protags in most of bioware's games always strike me as somewhere between 25-35

Between 28 and 34.
Probably will settle at 31 because odd number ages are awesome and its not too young/not too old.

depends on PT and/or the script.
i felt awkward playing gramps who was older than his "father". i was trying to RP cohen the barbarian. to make matters worse this young, beautiful lass tells me she's going to be my wife.
or a mage with gray hair passing her harrowing and being hit on by some 20-ish templar boy... come on!
