I must be the only one who likes the original ME combat the most. Huh.

Not trying to flame, but... seriously? The cover system was wonky, the powers were even more alpha and omega than they are now, the movement was glacial...

Quite honestly, I love the first game, I really do. But when comparing the combat systems of the first and third game, one is horse and the other is Lamborghini. One guess which is which.

I definitely prefer the little added strategy behind overheating weapons as opposed to ammo-based ones, but not nearly as much as I prefer the tighter, responsive controls and the biotic combos from the later games.

I like ME1 combat as well! It's brilliant.

Also, don't you mean Uncle Owen?

Proton ammunition is just so much fun.

Naw, Uncle Owen is the one who got torched by Stormtroopers. Uncle Ben is the one who got shot by a mugger or something.

Actually the Lamborghini analogy is very accurate, with over the top combat rolls and stuff. You could almost call it vulgar. But, undeniably, it goes like stink.

As for the first game, that's an Alfa Romeo Spider. Sure, it's a bit old and not so powerful. But it's classy.

ME1 combat is a laugh.

There's a reason you can't use most powers on protected enemies anymore. Adept Shepard + Liara could keep entire groups of enemies floating   forever, using a single power.

Fair points, but it also had far more awesome ammo powers, manageable everything, a lot of customization, bypassing shields, threatening enemy powers, among other things.

And I play on insanity, so take that as you will.

Well, to each his own. As said, I love ME, but if they'd release it again with ME3 combat system, it'd be like wet dream coming true.

Sorry for too much info :P

And they are fair points as well. Guess we'll agree to disagree.

Also, Insanity with level one character? I tried that, but quickly gave up. Too frustrating.

One of the only things I enjoyed was the scene on a low EMS playthrough where Blue Mary Sue gets beamed by the Harby

I liked it when Gwen was killed by your web. At least you learned later on not to do that with your wife Mary Jane Watson.

Uncle Ben was shot by sandman.

*Googles* Right, didn't get that. I thought Uncle Ben was just a comment out of left field. My Spidermanverse knowledge is, admittedly, limited.

I am such a comic book nerd. It's not even funny how much a nerd I am.

Its been over a year since I played the trilogy. I need to stop holding off my second run. Need to play based off own ideals an feelings than going renegade 24/7. Also ME1 combat was really fun however I didn't like how I was forced to have someone to open containers an how liara an tali died on me so fast despite having the best armor and amps.

Agree on MP. Surprisingly addictive.

Citadel.

Not having to drive any vehicles.

Minimum scanning.

Another thing I love from ME3 is having the Citadel as some sort of "home base". Even if I get no clear reason or objective to go there, I make it a point to go back to teh Citadel after almost every major mission. I like the contrast between the chaos and destruction of battle and the rest and relative peace on the Citadel. Combined with the many characters you can meet and the loads of conversation options, assignments and mini quests you get, it feels like a sort of home to me when playing Mass Effect 3.

The thing I like about the citadel is ME 3 is that you are out of your armor and you can run across the squadmates doing their own thing.  Even without the DLC I like ME 3's citadel the most.  With the DLC it is no contest.

ME1 combat was prehistoric.

ME2 was a completely, 21th Century new ground.

ME3 is ME2's, perfected.

ME3 had awesome things, I mean, the entire series. Each and EVERY game had amazing things. So, so much. But here are just a few from ME3-

Black Widow sniper rifle..... GREATEST sniper rifle ever, in ANY game I've ever played. Awesome

The MP suite. I gotta admit, I was skeptical at first about the MP suite in ME3. But I loved it

All of Citadel DLC- it is a masterpiece and easily the best content of ME3

Javik. Nuff said. Dude is a great troll and awesome.

Garrus. Just everything Garrus. Classic

James- yep, I said it. James grew on me, Garrus and James were my MADBRO YOLO swag team of BAMFs. James was a true bro.

Leviathan DLC. Awesome, the investigation, the discovery and that ship and the combat on the ship. Awesome. Also..... dat harbinger **cough cough** I mean "Leviathan".

There's a lot more, but that's the standouts for me.
