I absolutely do not understand people who skip Stasis...or any crowd-control/damage-mitigation powers for that matter. Especially on this kit, since the combination of Bonus Power 50%/30% evolutions AND grenades shatters the false notion that this is an "either/or" option
6 Biotic Charge [Radius, Power Synergy, Bonus Power]
6 Stasis [Duration, Bonus Power, Bubble]
6 Lift Grenade [Radius, Max Grenades, Damage & Radius]
5 Asari Commando [Damage & Capacity, Power Damage]
3 Fitness
M-358 Talon X [Heavy Barrel V, Power Magnifier V]
Pistol Rail Amp III
Armor Piercing Rounds IV
Power Amplifier Module IV
Grenade Capacity V
Stasis has a three second cooldown, with a 30% chance of no cooldown, hits targets immediately and holds up to two targets for up to 11 seconds. The time advantage is blatantly obvious. It prevents more damage by neutralizing elites than an extra 15 points in Fitness could ever absorb. The notion of "why Stasis something when I can kill it?" is a false arguement, because it assumes there is only one cluster of enemies on the map at any given time. If there are two marauders down a corridor on my left and a brute approaching on my right, then a more efficient course of action is to Stasis the marauders, move left, detonate them with charge once the Brute is within four meters, biotic dash out of melee range and THEN unleash grenades. I am thereby inflicting more damage against more targets using fewer grenades and taking less damage in the process.
Then of course there are the objective and extraction waves---which are the only waves that truly matter, and are the waves with unlimited spawn budgets during their objectives. Biotic Charge is of diminished use during most location/movement based objectives, and grenade/ammo replenishment options are diminished during these events. Stasis bubble is the perfect tool during hacks, disabling devices, and drone escorts since it eliminates the threat of fast moving elites/flankers by DELAYING killing them---which in turn means fewer enemies firing upon you and your allies during the course of the infinite-spawn objective. Objective waves comprise one third of the game and Stasis (or any other kits crowd control/defensive powers) comprise one third of your kit's powers; the intent there is obvious.
It's about playstyle. Basically the CD gets in the way when you like to roll in a certain way. Arguments do little when it just FEELS right. And it does, oh yeah.
