You know what those movies do for me? Nothing.

Good for you omnipotent one. Wake me up when some starts to care solely about your opinion.

When DC can do something good that is not Batman then I will care about DC movies.

Justice League: With Batman probably starting in it.

Tv shows about Batman's cast like Gotham

A Superman sequel with Batman in it.

Same Bat company same bat time!

That's because Dan DiDio hates trying anything new.

Man of Steel. But the Marvel crowd hated it because he wasn't hopped up on coffee and dropping one-liners like it was open mic night at the local comedy club. And the critics were split on it because it wasn't a Donner carbon copy.

700 million world wide and the highest dvd/blu-ray sales to date... I thought Batman rocked black and grey.

I liked Man of Steel.

But I also would've like another movie to more firmly establish Supermans place in the DCCU.

But nope, let's just cram in Batman, make Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor, and continue to let David S. Goyer work as a writer.

I find it funny you think that's why people didn't like Man of steel.

There trying to deviate from Marvel's model (which is undoubtedly successful so kudos to that) by spinning of from the team-up film. I would've liked a Supes solo too, but Batman vs Superman has been hinted at since "I Am Legend". WB figured they'd strike while the iron was hot.

Numbers don't lie. And while I can admit the movie was flawed, A LOT of it's qualities were overlooked. But I digress.

No, they want to slap Batman on everything because

1:batman sells

2:DC focuses on batman the most

This superman vs batman movie which should have been Man of Steel 2 and continued from the ending of MoS, explored the character more and fix the issues the first movie had, instead we are getting a The Dark Knight Returns heavily inspired movie, ya no thank you. The book sucked, the animation adaption sucked and everything revealed about this movie sucks.

Anyway, Ant Mans ok.

God I miss this show :(

I know absolutely nothing about Ant-Man, but I was excited for this movie anyway just because of Edgar Wright's involvement. Him leaving is very disappointing.

A movie that assassinates the character of Jonathan Kent so badly, even if it has commercial success (and when you see the incredible drop-off after opening night, that says something about it's overall critical reception), can't be held up as a good superman movie, even if it was an enjoyable action movie.

I love the everlasting S**t out of Sandman, but a movie for it is...no...that's just wrong!

Yeah, I see almost no way that will possibly turn out well.

They'll probably try to turn it into some toned-down, PG-13 action blockbuster. Ugh.

Agreed. Watchmen at least had action sequences, even if the film upped the length of those action sequences. But Sandman doesn't really have any action moments to speak of.

Dream is an undeniable bad ass, but the kinds of things he does I see easily being butchered in a film.

What has that got to do with anything?

I quite enjoyed Man of Steel though, its the best and most accurate Superman yet on the big screen.

To get back on topic more info as to why Wright left, I don't know how reliable it is though so just take it as a rumour for now. Also note worthy in the article is that the guy showrunning Daredevil has also left, be there stormy seas at Marvel?

Ant-Man has a new director, Peyton Reed who has directed such films as Bring it on and Yes Man with Jim Carry. Link, also in the link a synopsis for the film.

So thoughts?

Its quite a departure from Edgar.
