Intrigue, scandal, politics and death.
GoT-esque

It's not a wedding party at least...
I have a strong suspicion that this will act as Vivienne's recruitment quest.
I don't think so. If you look on the Dragonage website, the devs said it was a piece of content "off the beaten path" which makes me think that it's a sidequest, not a companion quest. It'd interesting if it was though.

I think the same,In the FF screenshots she appears to be in the same gardens, that were recently confirmed to be in Halamshiral.
Sounds like something for early on in the game, i'm hoping the ball is revisited in the game being a sort of headquarters for communication with nobles, changing as we go on. Hopefully if they're the snobs i imagine them to be, we can have a "Red Wedding" type scene or as i'd call it, "The Red Dance"
Sounds like a typical Tuesday in Orlais to me.

I think it would be a nice addition, especially if said major allies of one either Gaspard or Celene(the opposite from the side we chose) are in there.A red wedding type of scene will be much better if there are political motives behind it.
I hope it isn't forced unless i can enter like my high chaos corvo.
Apparently this takes place during a peace summit between Celene and Gaspard at the Winter Palace after the Civil War reaches a stalemate. The Inquisition is present to track down an assassin. It sounds to me as if this will happen in the middle of the game.

Yea i thought that was implied, i'd hate if we were just given the option so we can be evil. I'd love the tension of having political opponents putting on this facade for the sake of formality.

I doubt they'd give away such information about an occurrence so late in the game
Well, they have.
I mean who's to say the information is about the middle of the game. Sounds like the beginning right when the inquisition is gaining momentum. I think the focus for the early part of the game is choosing a side, this scenario sounds like the perfect place for the player to get aquianted with their choices.
My mind immediately goes to the peace talk scene from Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. I am going to have so much fun on this quest!
People complaining about having to stop the assassin in 3.....2.....1......
