Back in the day, I would have bought something like this. But now ... all the knick knacks I find pretty useless and clutter all on my shelf. I'd take a digital artbook or soundtrack over the things in here. But good on those who do buy it.

See I'm the exact opposite, I appreciate a soundtrack and these expect it in special editions, but if I'm dropping big money I want something physical.
Digital skins/artbook are nice but it adds nothing to the physical value of the product and is pointless as a "collectible" as you cannot resell (not that I ever intend too) plus digital content adds nothing to the "cost" of production, shipping or storage so I get really peeved when special editions with digital only content adds an extra £20-30 to the price.
I can see where you are coming from. But being married to a gamer for 14+ years, whose basement is full of .. well .. junk from things like these collectors and special editions ... yeah. Why we don't get those in the house anymore.
Granted, if there was one that really had something interesting, I might do it. But this just doesn't interest me. Outside the tarot deck that is. (Can add them to my tarot collections)

I like to play on the console and on the PC, it is just a quirk of mine I guess .... but I only do this with games I love (or that I know I will love) and as I do not buy a lot of games it does not destroy my pocket money
Took these pictures yesterday from the Con. First impression? Holy geez. This thing is FREAKING HUGE! I was expecting it to be the size of tissue box, not a concrete block!

I was initially pissed because I bought this huge box celebrating the game without the actual game in it (ahah that's a funny story, no deluxe edition for EU let's never talk about this ever again), but the pics mend my heart a little.
Well now, impressive indeed!
Seeing the size and detail of the product and then comparing it to other "collector / special box set editions" that have come out by other developers and such, you are actually getting what you pay for, or at least it appears that you are.
Now it alludes to one additional detail not present in the pictures... So where is this "hidden" compartment supposed to be, with which you must use your thief lock-pick tools in order to access? Also, will it actually contain something in that compartment, or simply be a fun, albeit empty space you and simply fill with "whatever"?
Man does this call for a serious reorganization of space!
I was almost tempted to buy this due to the fact a set of Tarot cards were offered with it but like a previous poster has said, I'd much rather save that extra bit of money for the DLC's and a PC copy of the game. This edition looks amazing though.

Holy Crap that thing looks hugh and drool worthy....I was debating about buying it but wasn't sure if I could justify the price...that looks well worth it.
Thanks for those pictures they solves another dilemma I was having - whether I should buy it here in Norway, (assuming one of my local gamestops has it available still), or order it from EBgames in Australia. Looking at the size of that, I'm definitely going to order it from the .au site, as I'm moving back there 2-3 weeks after the game is released and don't think I'll find room in the boxes I'm shipping for that thing. Now I just have to hope that like other games that entering the codes into the origin client will allow me to download and play the game without needing the discs otherwise it's going to be a long 2 1/2 odd weeks

Ugh, I wish the CE was available in south africa. Sadly, we're not even getting the physical Deluxe edition and the guy from the EA helpchat did not seem to think that it would be possible to upgrade a standard physical to a DD (like you could do with SC2:HoTS) so I have to choose between a physical box (which would be helpful since I live in the sphincter of Africa and have a tiny monthly data cap) or the ingame shiny of the DD (which I might then be able to play around December-ish, depending on the size of the actual game files).

Seems the hidden compartment is hidden indeed ... Also it looks like the 'interior fitted with imprinted red silk' has been ditched. Darn shame. I dislike collector's edition boxes which can only ever be used for the specific items. I prefer when the moulding is removable so I can use the box for anything....
I would love this! But it is pretty expensive. I would get it but it feels like I could use that extra money for something a lot better at the moment. Ahhhhhh, I really want it though xP
I have my Deluxe One Edition paid for already but if I could actually find an Inquisitor's Edition I would pay the extra money.
Does it give you ink as well to use the quill?

I ordered mine from UK Gamestop 10 days ago for £130 on PC. Doesn't say they are sold out...
I did too. I"m hoping that they don't send me a cancellation soon. I have another Deluxe copy at GAME that I intend to cancel at the if the Gamestop one is fine.
