My brother always springs for the collector's editions.  But they've been sold out here since May and my brother only now went to pre-order.  Now he doesn't know what to do.

Why would they deliberately shoot themselves in the foot by making it such a limited quantity?

Been there, done that before. Your bro has my sympathy. If I could I'd find some way to get him or you one. Alas T_T I do not.

Btw, +1 for a Tyrion Lannister photo ^_^

Same in the USA,,, the time to order one has expired. very disappointing. so I bought the deluxe Edition. and paid off my Witcher III the Wild Hunt Collectors Edition, which kind of softened the blow. I am equally fond of both franchises.

Oh, idk where you're from, but I know my game store always has people order CE, yet never pick up. There was a Batman Arkham City CE, that stayed on the shelf for a couple years. Then someone finally bought it. Soo, it's possible it can happen for you.

I spoke to my buddy who is a Game Stop Manager, he said, the DAI Inquisitor edition. required you to pay for it, then they mail it to your physical addy as opposed to the store. I asked him if there was 'any' possibility I could get one? He said because they mailed them directly to people as opposed to the store. it was highly unlikely. and the edition is completely sold out. Not sure how that works in other parts of the world. but that is the word in the United States Where Game Stop is concerned. there is always ebay. but I assure you, you will pay double the price or more.

Yeeah... no Ebay for this Qunari. People were selling Destiny GE for 600-900+. -_- I love my gaming and CEs, but damn not enough to pay nearly 1,000 US dollars. 100-200 at most, depending on if a balance of ingame items, like the Halla (Dalish alt will definitely ride this) and weapons, as well physical items. Don't mean to sound greedy, just like it balanced a bit than $150 for one 3 weapons. I'm happy with the DA:I CE tho  :D

As for my GS, they usually get orders right there. Some orders, as stated above get left behind, and the CE sits on a shelf. I heard someone flipped out, because he couldn't pick up his Skyrim CE (which was already sold) after it was 2 years later  <_<

I feel you. I can pick up quality guitars and affects for cheaper than you can get Game Collectors editions on Ebay. I hope you're right and they ship a Inquisitors edition to my local GS. I have seen CE's for an assortment of games here. But my friend, swears it will not be the case. because the store will not receive the DAI Inquisitors edition. it's the only franchise doing it. I know I pick my Witcher Wild Hunt LE  up at the store. This has been the first game I have ever heard of doing this.

I know in Canada the EBGames will be shipping the collector's editions directly to the store. So some people may get lucky.

Upgraded my Gamestop edition to this a few months back.  The more i learn about the game the less guilty I feel about it and the more i cry on the inside for this to come out already.  I started to play my Origins pc version again since I do not have a PS3 anymore and I tremendously miss rocking ME 3 multiplayer while waiting for the release of this.

Does anyone know which cards are missing from the tarot deck? (since it's a 72 card deck and tarot cards number up to 78)

It will most definitely cover the Major Arcana as these are the most "important" cards. However while the 78 cards in a tarot deck are standard there are many that are only 72 cards. Plus with the Dragon Age universe they may possibly have just felt 72 cards was the way to go.

..... Dragon Age: Inquisition - The Inquisitors Edition.....

Because abso-freaking-lutely nothing says "Impulse Buy" better than miniature toy box full of goodies that just screams for you inner child to say "will I choke on this if I try to eat it?"

Oh I pre-purchased this... no regrets... best impulse buy of 2014. I just wish I knew where the secret compartment was cause I damn sure want to use my thief lock pick tools on something!

Perhaps someday one of us unlucky folk who missed our chances will be rewarded with a surprise, of sorts.

Maybe a contest or two, maybe a giveaway. Maybe an overpriced re-seller on the internet.
One of the worst moments in my life was being unable to preorder this edition. It truly was. HEAVYSIGH.

Ooooh! A pre-order from GAME STOP!

I can't IMAGINE how that could possibly go badly...

I just pre-ordered my copy of the Deluxe Edition for the One, I'm locking my receipt for that pick up away in a Vault.

I tried to order the Inquisitor edition but when I called Gamestop they were out of them so I ended up getting the deluxe edition instead for the PS4.  I would have preferred the Inquisitor edition..... I had never purchased a collectors edition until Mass Effect 3.  It was totally worth it.

When it was first announced I had to wait til payday before I could even think about getting it.  Less than a week later I called up my bud at gamestop to see if they still had any, thinking it was just the normal pre-order (put $25 down blah blah), when he told me I had to pay the whole thing plus shipping to my house, I thought WHOA, they are serious. By the time I got down there to get it paid, that day, he said mine was the last one their store would allow, it literally locked after my purchase so they wouldn't go over. Wow...DA and ME are the only games I always gotten CE's for, I've had random ones in the past, but I've cut back to my favorites only.  Im lucky and happy to have gotten this.   And I guess they had some packaging problems otherwise they would of made more, I think I heard somewhere.  So good luck to you all, hope something good comes up and maybe by holidays they release some more, who knows.   But other than that, enjoy the game and your adventure, I can't wait to start mine!

I placed my pre-order the first day they were available, but I did it online and they never requested any money from me, just my credit card number or Paypal account, with a message that I would be charged when it shipped. Seeing everyone comment about how they had to pay the entire amount up front and how strictly Gamestop was enforcing it got me worried about my order, of course. So I called them up to verify, which lucky for me showed they had my order. The funny thing is that I offered to pay for it now and they wouldn't take my money! The guy I spoke with told me the only way I could pay ahead of time was if I were to go to a physical store, buy a store card with enough on it to cover the entire amount and then call them back to ask for it to be applied to my order. This sounded really weird to me, so I called back after a couple of days and got the same answer. I can't easily get to a store, so I guess I'll know for sure in a month. Still, I'm glad I'm getting this (thinking positively), even it it causes me a little extra worrying.

I'd be curious to know what kind of packaging problems they might have had.  I have the Wolfenstein Panzerhund Edition which has a case similar to this.  They actually ended up sending me 3 different ones because the quality was so poor on the cases.  Many of them had the latch completely fall off due to the screws being to short to effectively hold it in place, some of them had the rivets which hold the hinges in place come loose causing the lid to be loose, among other issues.  I ended up having to repair the box myself because they couldn't get me one that had good quality.  The manufacturer was TreeHouse Brand Games and not Tri-Force, so I am hopeful that it won't be the case with these.  However seeing the pictures that someone else posted that doesn't seem to be the case.

I also ordered online, not through the store, and they have yet to charge me for the game. I'm pretty sure their policy on pre-orders online is that they don't charge you until the order is processing, which according to their website, will be up to ten days before release. I checked it out on the FAQ page for pre-orders. But my order does show up online on my gamestop account and I have the receipt they e-mailed me. I think as long as you have those, you'll be covered. :)

TriForce's stuff tends to be on the right side of quality. Heavy detailing and durable construction seem to be their thing. That being said, I've never heard of them making a box for a collector's edition though. They make prop replicas (guns, statues and the like) of video game stuff. The collector's edition box itself is a replica of where the Inquisition keeps its map pins in the War Room.

So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one wondering if there are gonna be more of these available. As it stands now, in the most popular store in my area there were five preorders available. That is almost one for every month until the game comes out. The fact that this far from release they're already sold out is crazy. Most of the preorders are probably taken by employees, it just seems like there was no way anyone could know about these before they were all gone unless they worked at the store. So I hope there is a plan to sell more. I get keeping a collectors edition limited but this is crazy.

I was able to order Dragon Age Inquisition deluxe Edition at GameStop online and it will be available at my local GameStop on release day.

I still check every so often, just in case someone changes their mind about not selling more copies.

I can always hope.

So take this with a huge grain of salt and all that considering the source is a random person from reddit but we might be getting some more Inquisitor's Editions

Sage24601

I just got a call from the store manager of the EB Games I go to, and shw notified me that they should be getting another batch of the Inquisitor Editions in at launch. I live in Canada and she told me that according to the email from head office, it'll be 150 more country-wide. I'd safely assume this is happening otherwise, ie. in the USA but I don't know for sure.
