Oddly enough, I just ordered two Inquisitor's Edition from the website/Gamestop (USA), and my friend got her hands on 1 as well? I quickly called to see if this was some sort of error/them listing what they didn't have, but nope, Someone called 'Carlos' said they have actually already charged my credit card and are processing both my orders. I called GameStop Customer service, and not a store, by the way.

 

I hope this doesn't go badly...

 

Most likely those were editions that were freed up because of cancellations/card declines and such. Plus they probably held back a few to release once the reviews came out.

Well that sucks wish I owned a Console system right now as Both Inquisitor Editions are now available from GameStop for the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, I'm on backorder from Gamestop for my Deluxe Edition for the PC so I won't be playing DAI anytime soon unless someone cancels their Physical Edition.

On Gamestop in Sweden you cant preorder it yet That is frustrating.

Me and my friend both preordered it by walking to the actual store, seems like you have to do it like that in Sweden.
Though I'm still worried about the fact that it seems like they STILL haven't made sure that Europe will get the PC version...

Same here, as far as I know in Sweden you have to preorder in the store at Gamestop.
I was there just the other day to trade in a game and add it as payement for my DA:I IE.

And on my reciept it says: Dragon Age 3 Inqisituion CE PC so according to their system I am good to go.

I am still nervous as hell though..

So glad I read this today - thanks for letting folks know Gamestop was selling the Inquisitor edition again. I had tried getting this edition several weeks back and they said they were all gone.  Just ordered the xbox one edition.  Of course, I don't have an xbox one - lol.  Guess that is going to the system I buy now.  Plan on playing on my PC to start.  But, hey, I had to update my console eventually, right?

I just called Gamestop to verify my order and that there will be no problems with them shipping it out, and am I glad I did. They had my order all set, but the agent I spoke with said that there was a problem anyway. Back when I placed the order, I knew that my credit card was going to be expiring between that date and now, so I couldn't very well place an order on it that wouldn't be paid for until after the card had expired and I couldn't very well wait until September to place the order or I'd never have a shot at the Inquisitor's Edition, so I selected PayPal as my payment method. And of course that would have been a problem now if I hadn't called today. I would have still received the game, probably, but not until at least a week or possibly longer after the 18th, depending on how long it took for processing to take place, before and after the 3 day wait for confirmation of funds. Since I called today, the agent was able to change my payment method to my credit card instead, and I will now have it delivered on the 18th, as scheduled. By the way, anyone who ordered the game to be physically shipped to them, the only way you will receive it on the 18th is if you paid extra for overnight delivery because they are not shipping them out until the 17th.

 

So, for anyone else out there who selected PayPal for their method of payment, you have two options. You can either call to switch it to a credit card or you can go to a GameStop locally, buy a gift card for an amount greater than the price of whichever edition of the game you ordered and then call them to transfer payment to that gift card. Otherwise, they can't guarantee a delivery date.

 

Thank you so much for sharing this info! I had the exact same issue (card expiring between May and now) and did the exact same thing: figured PayPal would be a safer bet. Guess not necessarily. :/

 

I only wish I had thought to check my statements a little earlier since we're so close to the release date. I don't know why I expected anything to go smoothly with GS as a vendor. Lesson learned! Hopefully I can get this squared away tomorrow morning.

Is anyone else ordering their IE through EB Games? Since I live a 2 hour drive away from the nearest store I opted to get mine delivered to my house and assumed it would be here on release day (which is the 21st in NZ) then I found out a couple of weeks ago that they will be processing my order within 4 business days of release and the 21st is on a Friday so they probably wont start processing until Monday and I am such a sad panda because I'm going to have to wait ages to play it!!! Okay, whinge over.

Not yet. My order still says "Open" but my credit card has had the pending transaction for it for the past week. I was assured everything was okay so now it's just a waiting game.

 

Hoping I get the confirmation e-mail before heading off to work this morning!  *crosses fingers*

Not yet! Like Mage Tarot, my bank activity showed that the charges were pending all last week, but it showed that the funds were released on Saturday. It's my understanding that the hold on the money is released when the goods are prepared for shipment to avoid accidentally double-billing the account, and that the funds are deducted when the package actually gets put on the truck. I'm trying hard to believe it.

My Gamestop order still show's "open" as well.  What's worse is I can't check my credit card statement for a coming change in status because I pre-ordered in the store, so they charged me back then.

 

I'm psyching myself up for the game to not ship until tomorrow, and then I'll get it some time on Wednesday.

 

I've been counting down since E3...I can stand to wait one more day.....I hope.

No sign of any movement from Gamestop yet at 5am PST. I know they have my money already, but it still shows my order as open and not shipped... Yet!

Mine hasn't shipped either. It says One Day for the shipping but they only charged me $9.32? I thought it should have been $14 for overnight.

Woohoo! I just scared my cats with my whoop at finally getting an email from UPS, stating that my order from Gamestop has shipped! It has left Kentucky and will be delivered by the end of the day tomorrow! I set up my UPS account to notify of me of delivery to make sure I don't miss seeing them drive up. It's times like this that I get really greedy and wish they could be a little more specific than sometime before the end of the day though.

 

And yes, my order also says that it's two items, separated to show as the CE case - collectible for $100 even and the deluxe version of the game for $69.99. They both have the same tracking number though, so at least we'll get everything at once. They probably only separated them for some sort of internal tracking or calculations of how much of what specifically was sold. While I hope the game is inside the case, it won't bother me if it isn't

Does anyone looking at this have any info on the UK edition as yet. I preordered through Gamestop UK back in the middle of May and received a confirmation email complete with order number, but I have been unable to get in touch through phone or email to the company. Either the number on their website is out of date or it just wont connect. I have been down to the bank this morning and as of 13th November there has been no payment given to Gamestop and there is no evidence of it on the list of pending payments yet. I have had no emails saying that my order has been downgraded or cancelled. If no one has any specific information if they at least have a good contact number that the company is answering then I would appreciate it. Frankly I am finding the lack of communication and information quite unsettling and a poor way of conducting business. Thank you kindly.

Just an FYI to anyone else who might have used PayPal (because this was news to me): If your default is set to PayPal Credit/Bill Me Later, and you didn't change that when you made your pre-order, your payment did not process. GameStop does not accept PayPal Credit, but I wasn't alerted to this back when I made the pre-order nor when they apparently tried to authorize the payment (Nov 11).

 

I was able to switch my payment info to a card, and the GS rep said that it's still slated to arrive tomorrow (YAY ), but that was after about an hour and half of phone calls between both companies.

 

EDIT - Well, it appears I spoke too soon. CC info got put in wrong, and they couldn't correct it for whatever reason. Great. Been looking forward to this since May, and now I'm not getting it. Pretty crushed about this.

At 8:05am (this morning) Gamestop sent me an e-mail saying that my order has been shipped. When I look at my account on their webpage it says "Closed."

 

UPS better hurry the hell up, I want to play.....damn it!

     Confirmation email received! Now the final worry is  that it arrives in excellent condition and not like a Bronto's ass cheeks sat on it the whole trip!

 

To all my UK bro's and sis's across the Atlantic having concerns about Gamestop, well, I don't know if this will help you at all but here is the only contact info. I found:

This may already be the information being used and I apologize if this does not help. I know EBgames is partnered with the same company, so one other option is that (to my knowledge) the offical Gamestop website also offers chat help, which I have used and it is thorough (just expect a bit of a wait!)

I got mine as well!  2 line items.  This is normal, as I believe the IE case doesn't have the game in it.  You have to put the discs into the Steelbook case yourself.  Can't wait to get mine!
