I am in the exact same boat regarding receiving the shipping notification, but only says the label has been printed.  Here's hoping...

i have no idea isnt it supposed to be a one day shipping cuz its like pre release special? game stop guy didnt even mention that at all

Unfortunately the direct answer to your question is: No, pre-ordering does not automatically give you selection for one day shipping to receive it on release date by default. In fact, barring a few exceptions (like whether you are in the contiguous 48 states or such for an example) the shipping options vary a bit.

So, while this is all hindsight at this point, if you have your receipt and can verify the price you paid for shipping when ordering your item will at least give you your answer. For Example: if you paid 10.99 or more for shipping then YES you selected one day and preordering it before 11am CST on 11/17 would get you a release date delivery. However, 7.99 is 2 day shipping, Standard (which is usually the default unless you live off the contiguous map or at a FPO /APO or select a PO box) is 5.99 and is 3-5 day shipping. Value is also for contiguous states and is about 4.99 and is 5 -10 day shipping.

Now, when I express day, it means "business day" which means for both the purpose of processing payment and initial shipping out(from the Gamestop Distribution Center), you cannot include weekends or certain holidays (now once UPS has it, then it's on the move.)

So, in closing, the mystery of your delivery date is as simple as seeing what your shipping charge is, and for any potential future desires to pre-order from Gamestop, then you must select One day intentionally, otherwise it will give you (most likely) standard or value by default.  Hope this helps a bit. :bandit: :wizard:

You're very welcome amigo, even though I know it is not pleasing news. Hell I paid $14.00 (which I am not saying isn't foolish and was done clearly out of excitement and 5 yr old "I want my toys now" mentality!) for my shipping. But, if you would like to get more update to date Gamestop  shipping info. use this link, that is, if you plan on ever using their website again to pre-order something. (one other tip, they also have live chat avail. granted you wait a bit, but those reps. tend to be a bit more thorough, as least in my experience!)

So make sure you check every piece when you open it. Not only were they NOT secure, I have a broken piece beyond repair and a chipped lockpick as well. I'm emailing now to hopefully find a solution, but not impressed given the price tag. I really hope they take care of us who were lucky enough to obtain one of these, only to have broken parts inside.

Aha! UPS finally updated the information. I don't know if  they only just now picked it up or if it was in a pile somewhere and hadn't been sorted into what package goes on which plane, but they do finally actually have it. Now here's hoping it can make the 4 1/2 flight then the 2 hour drive from the airport to the town where UPS has their sorting facility and trucks, in time to for when the truck leaves at 4am. Yes, I live in a small town, in an area with only other small towns, so nothing is close to anywhere. But at least there are signs of movement and I've prepared a note for them to make sure to ring my doorbell twice so I can hear it in the back of my house.

I'm so excited that sleep will be so difficult tonight, but I have to if I want to stay up all of tomorrow night!

I don't know if it has been mentioned on this thread yet but there seems to be cases of editions arriving at stores in bad condition and being sold regardless by some.

I recommend checking your box when you recieve it to ensure nothing is broken and everything is there least you end up in an unfortunate situation.

I received mine today (in Australia) two days before release but of course my computer than I've been getting upgraded is taking longer than expected so I have the game early and no pc! Haha, of course this would happen.

But yes, mine arrived with some broken lock picks and the owl statue thing was snapped.. not too happy but that being said it wasn't those things I was that interested in so I'm just going to leave it.

I would still see about finding a contact e-mail and letting them know. Hell, I know you must have paid a lot of coin with it being delivered to Australia and all so you should be able to ask for replacement pieces. Don't forget to send a scan of your receipt as proof.

As far as I know, the stores recieved them in those conditions. Does leave the question of whether or not the editions shared transport space with an elephant considering some of the things I hear about.

Word of caution: Some of the game CDs themselves might be damaged as well so check those as well.

Yeah, I might. I think I'm just afraid that somehow they will need everything sent back and I would hate to miss out on the game but yeah hopefully they would just send replacements.

I wouldn't sweat it. I'm sure they had a contingency plan for damaged components so there would be no need to pack up the entire package and return it. Most likely if anything it may take a while for the replacements to get to you. If you have a camera or a smartphone I'd take pics of the damaged pieces to send along with the receipt. Trust me - the more info you give them the better.   :)

(and for the record, I'm jealous that you're in Australia. That's one place I've always wanted to visit but I am literally on the other side of the world!)

I was really hoping that UPS would pull it together and that the reason they weren't showing the game as leaving was because of some tracking slow down or something, but now I don't know that I'll even get the game today, thanks to UPS. I've been checking the tracking often over the hours and it only just now is leaving Kentucky! The trucks are departing the local station in 5 minutes, so there's no way it's going to be on one. I'm so stunned about this right now, but I know that that'll change to anger soon enough. After all, considering the fact that Gamestop has had my money for almost a week now, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever that they shouldn't have sent it out in time, even if it's one day shipping.

Don't lose hope yet, kitcats! It could be the site itself is having the tracking slowdown. I'm in Florida and in the 5 hours of sleep I got, it left Kentucky, touched down in Florida and it's listed as 'out for delivery.' If you paid for one-day shipping they're going to make sure that you receive it that way. Also, you can always call the UPS customer service line to see if they have a better idea if the website had a slowdown on tracking stuff.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks, MageTarot. I really appreciate the encouragement, and I'm doing my best to stay positive about this. I do almost all my shopping online, but this is the first time I've ever gotten anything using one day delivery. I upgraded my computer last week so I received several deliveries and asked the driver about how often they return to pick up packages, and that's when I learned how far away it was in the first place. Other than holiday shipping when there are too many packages to all fit onto the trucks in one trip, it's rare that any of them go back to pick up additional packages the rest of the year.

I haven't gotten any sleep yet tonight and I doubt I will now that it's 5am, but I'll still do my best to keep hoping it arrives. UPS has always delivered between 10:30 to noon, so I'll at least keep checking until then.

I completely understand. This was the first time I've ever ordered from GameStop online. I usually order from my local store (which is within walking distance, I kid you not) but since the IE was only available online when it was first offered I decided to go for it. To say I was paranoid about not getting a copy was an understatement. I made sure there would be no issues with my credit card, even calling them asking them to put a note on my account saying that yes, I was expecting a charge from GameStop that was higher that my usual charges and I was okay with it (I did this since card companies have been known to decline charges without the cardholder's approval if they think it's fraudulent). I also checked with GameStop a week before the game shipped since they had started pre-authorizing charges to make sure mine went through.

Hopefully I won't be this paranoid for the next Mass Effect game!

Don't give up hope.

UPS finally picked mine up at 12:27 this morning.

It then flew to Newark, NJ, trucked to central Jersey and as of 47 minutes ago it is now out for delivery.

In the past, the UPS truck usually shows up sometime between 4:00 and 6:00 PM.

Now my Guide which shipped from Amazon left the local hub for delivery at 7:00 this morning, so we'll be visited twice by UPS today.

Glad to hear it, Burgeeta - congrats! :)

Unfortunately I ordered it Inquisitor's Edition guide and it was sadly delayed; apparently there was a problem with one of the items and it caused a pushback in the delivery date. They did say, however that all orders would be filled by 11/25 so hopefully it should be in my hands for the Thanksgiving holidays. :)

LOL  It sounds exactly like what I did, I kid you not, especially since when I first ordered, I knew that my card would be expiring. Plus I also upgraded my computer to make sure I had the best specs, as well as a new, faster hard drive, and some really nice new speakers, too, all just so I could experience this game like it was meant. I have a feeling we'll both end up going crazy for ME4, no matter how much we tell ourselves we won't, but you know what? So what! These games make us happy.

I just checked UPS yet again, and they had literally just updated it to show that my package landed at the local airport, which happens to be a good 2 hours away, and that's when there's no traffic and good weather, not the fog and rain and rush hour starting like it is now. I'm expecting another package today and it shows that as being out for delivery, so I know the truck has left the yard to come to my town. So while it's good that it's made it across the country, it's not looking any better for it to make it to my door yet. I really wish that those of us who pre-ordered the IE were able to download so that we could start to play without having to rely on a third party to ship and a fourth party to actually do the shipping, all in a timely manner.

I realy do appreciate all the encouragement you're giving me. It's helping me to stay positive, really. :)

My pleasure, kitcats. By any chance, is your graphics card a Nvidia? I ask because a new driver (344.75) was just released that mentions improved graphics for DAI. If you do have a Nvidia card, head over to their website, or if you have the GeForce Experience installed on your pc, do an update and it should be there.

I've been bouncing around the forums and one of the issues I've been seeing is that graphics card drivers aren't updated to the latest versions, so make sure yours is current. :)

Surprise! It's cheap trash.

It was a bad sign when I heard rattling coming from the package when I was carrying it. Then I opened it up.

QpadDb4.jpg

Everything was spilled out onto each other. Half of the figurines were borken.

FAnGpKI.jpg

Then I lifted up the top panel. Same story.

ggPQWJt.jpg

I can't even blame UPS. It's so poorly designed, it's impossible to close it without spilling the contents out of their slots at the same time. Seriously, the box closes like a book, and once you get it closed, everything spills back out on top of itself.

I wouldn't be so mad, but everything is cheaply made and cheesy. The coins are plastic, the figurines are trash (obviously), and the quill pen is a joke. The journal is okay, but this HARDLY qualifies for a $100 collectible. Really diasppointed.

Sorry to hear it, Arkayoh. If I were you I'd contact Prima Games and include the photos -- demand you get replacement parts for the ones that are broken!

Got mine and it was in terrible condition with stuff broken.  Promptly returned it to the store.

Anyone know what that code was for that was included?
