It's pretty much a joke at this point. Are they going to make us wait until September before the PC Collectors is avaliable in Europe or what? Some updates on this would be nice.

On a lighter note, when I walked in, the gal who manages the store saw me and said "You're here for the Inquisitor's Edition, aren't you? I KNEW you would get one!" It's like they know me. ;)

Funny my store was the oposite. i have a Onyx card (highest possible) and my store keeper knew just how to sell it to me. lol He looked at me all shifty at first when i inquired and he said "So just a standard pre-order?" So i said "Ok what are you going to try to convince me to buy" while raising my right eye brow. (yeah i can do that) So he told me to step behind the counter and began telling me everything in it and the minute he said "ink pot and quill" i was sold and he knew it.

I don't mind spending good amounts on games i think may be worth the purchase. At any rate if the game does flop god forbid then i will be able to pick up on the caligraphy practice i started many years ago. Plus the Tarot cards peaked my curiousity a little bit since i have never even seen one. Should be an interesting way to freak out the cat. He is hyper sensitive to a freaky atmosphere. Hell ask him about World War Z or resident evil. He never seems impressed when i sit down and watch it. lol

I'm still not able to pre-order the Inquisitor's Edition in my country, and no word from Bioware or EA on whether or not this will be possible at all.

In the meantime, yesterday CDPR announced The Witcher 3 CE, and I secured my pre-order without any problems (I even had multiple companies to choose from). If only DAI pre-orders were as easy and painless as that.

(plus: DRM-free, no pre-order DLC differences based on where you pre-order it from, free digital backup on GoG.com, ...)

EA definitely should take an example from CD Projekt Red/GoG.com

The PC inquisitor edition has shown up on the Australian version of Gamestop. (EB Games) Considering EU and AU use the same versions it really should have shown up in your version of Gamestop by now. At the very least you can always just buy the Australian version if it doesn't appear.

Nope... still nothing new on gamestop.de. Somehow it starts to get annoying.

Unfortunately, there *is* no Gamestop in BeNeLux, and Gamestop retailers in neighboring countries don't ship to Belgium or Netherlands.

This... we don't have amazon either, for that matter (although amazon will ship to other countries). Bol is usually having the special editions too, and as I have very bad experience with international shipping (why hello, arriving 2 weeks late! And extra charges for customs on top!) I am keeping my hopes up for getting it somehow via a national store.

I was going to recommend looking into getting it through E-bay but it is clear that most of them are scalping charging it at $300 or more as usual. Here is hoping that they give the option to pre-order it from your country down the track i don't see why not. It is clear they have your version but i cannot fathom why they have not given you the option to get it as well. Has anyone asked support?

Am I just too slow to figure this out? Or, can I not buy this in Canada? I keep throwing my money at the screen, but alas, nothing. :'(

Ha! I was just stupid. So now my new complaint is:

Why unavailable? Whyyyyyyyy? -crying forever-

If you go into EBGames itself and pre-order from the store you might have a chance of getting a copy. I was able to pre-order from the store near me even though the website said they were unavailable.

I feel your pain. Trust me, I feel it deep in my gut. It's starting to effect my mental well-being. My eating, sleeping, concentration and so forth are all out of whack.

This is definitely one case where no news is NOT good news.

What little comfort it may be to a fellow Canadian I'll share what I know so far.

First, I posted on this topic. No response.

Second, I tweeted the Canadian EB Games account. They said the pre-order limit had been reached.

This seemed off to me because the game is still available on all platforms in four other countries.

I also found a post on a different forum stating that the day of the official Bioware announcement there were no copies available.

Thirdly, I emailed the the EB Games help account. I got the usual, "we cannot confirm or deny" what not.

Finally, I drove to my local EB Games brick-and-mortar store where they didn't even have the Inquisitor's Edition in their system.

This all leaves me to believe one of three scenarios;

A: All Canadian pre-orders were filled before Bioware even told us about it.

B: It isn't available in Canada. (yet, crosses fingers)

C: This is all a fever driven nightmare I created for myself. (How did all of you people get in my head!?)

I was distracted several times between starting my other post and finishing it. As a result I didn't see your post.

After I saw your post I tried phoning other EB Games stores somewhat near me. The answer was that each store only got 3 copies to sell.

So unless your town only has two other Dragon Age fans you're not getting a copy.

And a physical PC Deluxe Edition for Australia too please, I have a spot all picked out for it on my shelf... and the digital one just won't look good there at all.  ;)

I pre-ordered my copy about three or four days after the announcement. The girl working did say that the store only got three copies and I have my receipt sitting right here saying I got one of them. She didn't mention how many others were taken though. By now it's definitely a long shot to get one, but since the website has been sold out since the day the pre-orders opened, phoning the store and asking is probably the best bet.

I noticed that on the local webshop they made an announcement yesterday (whilst answering a question) that they would not be a collectors PC edition in the Netherlands... I surely hope that they are wrong...

There's no Gamestop in the Benelux, and Gamestop has the worldwide exclusive to the CE. So yes, as things stand, you can assume that they are right.

This fiasco is why I have decided to not buy the game at all... I let my wallet speak.

Wow... just wtf?! So just for living in the wrong country I won't be allowed the CE? This is seriously ridiculous... We are not on the sanctioned party list, Bioware!! We are happy customers who want to throw money at you... please don't pull this off...

edit: at least the German and UK gamestop both (checked only those 2) don't have the PC version of the CE... so we benelux aren't the only ones getting screwed...

Looks like this blame rests solely on EA for getting themselves lobbied by GameStop to give them the exclusive, which is bullcrap, exclusives are what ruins free market.

And there are apparently some issues with PC version of CE in Europe (damned if I knew what).

But at least those countries can get the CE for other platforms. In Benelux, you can't even get those!

The annoying thing is that the Collector's Edition is the only chance i'd have to get a physical copy of the game AND get all the in-games DLCs like the Flames of the Inquistion Weapons+Armour, Throne, Red Hart mount etc. If I wanted a basic copy of the game I would have ordered it and since someone in the chain decided it would be a brilliant idea to not give Europe a physical copy of the Deluxe edition that means i'd HAVE to get the CE since I would like those items.

So it's really a case of, i'm paying for a copy of the CE or not buying the game at all.

They were unavailable in Canada until announced, they got the pre-orders the morning of, 3 for standalone stores, 4 for flagships. From what I heard from my local flagship store, 4 was the max. These were sold for $199.99 +tax (so much more that the US version? Not cool BioWare, YOU'RE CANADIAN!), with tax that's $225.74.

Unavailable online, but stores away from densely populated areas might still have pre-orders, call first. As for me, I came the day of at 3:00pm, got number 2 of 4. My local stores got theirs all booked by the end of the week (I live in a densely populated area).

You got two, huh? Lets be BFFs... just kidding.

Now in all fairness to Bioware they probably have nothing to do with regional pricing or this whole mess regarding the Collectors Edition's availability.

Still, every non U.S. resident is getting shafted, and so far it looks like Bioware ain't doing a darn thing about it.
