One assumes it was meant as "limited number so actually for collectors rather than everyone" instead of "limited to certain places because we hate PC gamers and/or Europeans"...
You'd hope so...but you never know.

My only issue with this edition is that the GameStop manager I spoke to said that these will probably ship out AFTER the game launch as opposed to shipping early so it can arrive on time.
Which makes me wish they would include a digital copy of the game so I can play at midnight and wait for my awesome-ness to arrive the next day.
Nothing new. At least for most of (continental) europe and uk.
Some people seem to have asked gamestop and they got the answer that there will be no PC Inquisitor's Edition...
but still no news from Bioware. Well, none that I know of.
Uhm... did I miss something? The gamestop website has a PC Inquisitor's Edition. I already pre-ordered mine... Or is this a non-continental US thing still?

The EU and various other places still have no PC version for the Inquisitor's Edition, but all other consoles do.
And since PC users are prone to the very worst form of nerd-rage at the best of times, we're all naturally a little miffed...

Well... it seems to be a "part of europe" thing. Some countries seem to have the PC Inquisitor's Edition (scandinavia iirc) and some don't. Strange thing is, the people who ask at their local gamestop stores get different answers ranging from "No, there will be no PC IE" to "Yes, but later... like November..."
Then, there are these who don't have Gamestop in their country so they won't get it at all.
That totally sucks. =(

Perhaps. but now they will be bought by people who don't care but to put them on ebay for double the money... (apart from those who actually want the game, like us!)
Ya this sux, i live in the Netherlands and we don't have a Gamestop at all
i tried to pre-order an english version of the game from Germany but the only sell the German version
wich sux due to their Crazy laws on video games , (no blood etc.)and it's dubbed in German
so i contacted A gamestop in the UK but they only sell in Eireland and the UK
so, if i want an English CE version i could buy the German one @ 170euro but then to be able to play it i have to buy the english version too at another 70 euro
as i dont speak german,
or forget about it and just get the 70 euro wich i am forced to do so i preordered it as i have no intention to pay doble or more for a game on Ebay
imo it is a very Stupid deal that EA made with Gamestop
hell im not happy about it but i wont let it ruin me from enjoying this game
just hope EA isn't going to make the same Stupid deal when the next ME comes out, as i will be Pissed when that happens
(@wickedwizzard01:)
Well, you can count on EA repeating things like these in the future, as apparently nobody is willing to take a stand and say "this is unacceptable, I will not buy your game if you treat us like this!"
It really doesn't matter how we feel about all this, financially this deal works out very well for EA, and they make a nice profit. That's all that matters.
So yes, most likely they WILL do it again!

Well, no Gamestop, no Inquisitor's Edition. But, talking to someone from Bioware (thanks to Mark Darrah's help) about the release of the game here, on Brazil (we don't have Gamestop too), I was said that maybe we will have another limited edition. Maybe it's not only for Brazil, but for every country that doesn't have Gamestop. Still trying to get more info about that and to not think so much about.

That would be fair enough, as some sort of trying-to-make-this-right. Please keep us updated Rick! And I surely hope it won't be Brazil only, but for all non-gamestop countries.
@WickedWizzard: I share your pain... I could get friends to buy the CE in France or Germany, but would still have the issue of having the wrong version. *sigh*

I think there needs to be a major crack down on E-bay scalpers. All those people deliberately buying multiple copies of limited collectors editions so people miss out and have to buy it for $300 or more from them. There has to be a rule against it somewhere...if not Bioware should crack down on it at the very least.

Is this some bad joke at our expense? https://twitter.com/...537398679109633
@BioMarkDarrah Is there any word yet on the Inquisitor's Edition for PC in Europe?
.@SG_01 unfortunately, it is starting to look like we may not resolve this before we exhaust all inventory. Double check your region
@BioMarkDarrah Are you serious? Wow. Do you at least know by now how this happened? I mean the PC market in Europe is not small...
@Ulathar there is no physical deluxe version in Europe. GameStop decided not to carry the Inquisitors Edition.

Great job, EA, for not even creating a physical Deluxe Edition in Europe, and for giving Gamestop the exclusive rights to the IE. I'm positive that Amazon in Europe would jump at the opportunity to sell the IE for PC (and ship it internationally), but (wrt the DE) even Amazon can't sell a version that isn't there!
Unfortunately, EA wins, as they're smart enough to realize that most people will not boycot the game because of these decisions... people will most likely buy the digital deluxe edition (or the standard physical edition) instead... well, I won't! I refuse to give any money to EA for being treated this way! If we just accept things like this, then what's next? Where does it end?

I guess EA are upset at being knocked out of the running for the "Worst Company" award this year and are taking steps to make sure they win it once more next year!
But seriously, this is just a horrible mess that's telling PC gamers outside of North America that they are not worthy enough to be able to purchase special editions! Clearly GameStop were a bad choice and I hope EA never uses them ever again!
...and it's gone.
Even if by some miracle I was able to order it on Game Stop, (I was going to try a pre-paid American Express) it's sold out.
Consolation prize, I'm still Canadian. Which means heath care, and I'm going to need it. This whole fiasco has pushed me well beyond my coping capabilities. It's been awhile, Depression, Self-destruction, but your old friend Loain is back. Hopefully I won't stay long but there's no telling with these things.
I wish I was just being melodramatic but this really has been taxing. A month of checking web pages multiple times a day with no news from any official source. Only discovering too late what was really going on from other fans. If I had know Canadians needed to order from a brick-and-mortar store I would have gone in right away. However how was I to know considering the opposite was true for Americans. Sure they could order it anywhere but they wouldn't be able to pick it up in store. I blame my-self for trusting, for hoping, for thinking I mattered. I know I shouldn't but it's really hard to think clearly when you've lost as much sleep as I have.
Hey listen! (look at me I'm Navi all of a sudden)
Bioware, Game Stop, and EA. You all failed me. I've been nothing but a respectful, loyal consumer and you failed.
One lousy post telling people what was really going on was all it would've taken.
It's nice to know that the chronically unemployed will be enjoying their Inquisitors editions while the rest of us missed out because we couldn't go to Gamestop at 9:00 am to pre-order.
haha damn, this is annoying. i really don't get why they could give the consoles the inquisitors edition and physical deluxe edition, but not the pc? do they think we all just prefer digital downloads these days or something?
I understand your rage and disappointment - but as someone who has been unemployed for over a year now because of severe health issues and denied any sort of wellfare for the reason "You've managed so far, surely you can continue to do so" - don't take it out on the unemployed.
Most of us want nothing more than to have a job to go to every day.
I am one of those "lucky" ones who's been able to get the CE (thank you boyfriend and family for my early Christmas gift) - I live in Sweden - but I still feel concerned since they said that Bioware may change their minds and retract the CE and that they'll let me know..And it took me weeks of Calling GameStop. "We don't know yet." "Maybe on monday." "No, call back on thursday." "Call back after the weekend."
I am very disappointed about how all of this was handled. It's clumsy and disrespectful to PC-players, to say the least.
And the worst part is the lack of information and dialogue from Bioware who usually is there to answer our questions. I assume that's because they hade no answers this time. It's unforgivable, someone screwed up royally and us fans deserve and apology.
In my opinion it is just a heap of things going wrong: EA lets gamestop have the exclusive, gamestop being 'lawl, I don't ship to other countries', bad communication towards the customers, unclear order policies, CE being too limited in supply, 'forgetting' about non-US PC gamers, and so on.
Very unprofessional all in all, and I truly hope there will be something to make up for this mess and leaving a large part of the community in the dark. And although I agree it would be the best statement to not buy the game at all... I want it too bad, so pre-ordered the standard edition, by lack of anything better. I'm just seriously disappointed.
Same here...I really wanted to be like, "screw this then, if they don't want my money then I won't by the game at all!"
But...it's Dragon Age! I am weak...
And like you, so very, very disappointed.

Lol "rage" is what you feel when someone you love is brutally murdered, not when you can't get particular edition of a game. I have nothing against the unemployed and am merely ridiculing Electronic Arts' way of handling this particular product. It is just a game and nothing important enough to me to get angry about.
June is way to early for an "early Xmas gift"...I am sure you will still get something darling.
I hope your health is improving.
EB Games Australia still seems to have preorders available
