Wait we can buy the standard edition in Aus and upgrade to the deluxe version later? That I did not know so I'll have to check with my local EB Games. I am really sorry for all you guys and girls going through so much trouble and uncertainty in Europe right now. I really hope this gets resolved for everyone soon and regardless of country we all get to buy the version of the game for the platform we want.  :D

i think so, it was some time ago i read it on a forum but cannot remember where, it was on some tread about prices of Normal and delux edition

so i cannot link you to that exact comment, that's how i remember that comment.

Price was different, much cheaper from normal price for standard edition, but that was because there was no way to made it psychic delux edition

because of some market difficulties or something like this.

You know every console edition is psychic delux, only PC is standard :/ and i do not understand why D; It would be fair if we would be able to upgrade it

via bioware points. But they do not say anything about it, if this is possible or not for Europe. I hope it gonna be resolved asap, but Bioware only say

They are working on it... nothing more :/

There was talk about a possible upgrade from standard to deluxe as a future option, but there has been absolutely no confirmation that such an option will actually become available.

You can find it on the Dragon Age Inquisition Page, somewhere in the FAQ:

Due to us not having the Deluxe PC Edition available in Australia at Retail, you will receive the Standard PC version in your Inquisitor Edition at a slightly lower price point. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to the additional digital content separately, when it’s available.

I just don't know if this is valid for all standard editions or just these from the IE / Standard bundle, but I guess you can upgrade all versions WHEN it is available.

Well, at least here in Germany it is now possible to order the PC Inquisitor's Edition via GameStop's online store. You don't have to visit a local store.

It took a while but now it is there.

Thanks to whoever made it possible.

EDIT:

You COULD order it... for about 2 hours, then the order button was cancelled out. German Dragon Age on Facebook wrote that according to GameStop there was a technical problem with their website. An hour later they posted that you can't order it online, just in their stores.

Does anyone understand this?

:crying: :crying: :crying:  And I was just starting to bribe some friends in Germany to order it for me... Seriously, are they just making it harder for the sake of doing so?

So I may have missed it in an earlier post but has Bioware said anything about creating more Inquisition Inquisitor's Editions to sell? Or have they just decided screw it... no more.

They (German DA FB) say, it was a decision based on a technical problem. They either had the option to not offer an IE for PC at all or to limit it to store orders. That's not my idea of fun. My next store is 120 km away and I will not ask someone to buy a very expensive game for me.

Every f****** console (no offense here) has an IE. PC has not? Because of copy protection or something else? I want to know more about this problem so that I am not angry anymore.

I agree... I thought games were about fun, but this is seriously a test of how annoying and 'not-fun' they can make it

- limit it to certain countries and ensure that others cannot get it, as shipping abroad is obviously way too hard. Especially within the EU

- make everything in very limited supply, so it gets sold out within a few hours

- ordering online? That's sooo 2013... oh wait, we forgot we don't have physical stores in most countries...

- the consoles have their IE and deluxe editions, but it is 'too hard' to put the dvd in there for the PC?

- communication is totally overrated

So yeah... way to go... I heard it would take too much time to make extra copies of the CE, but I would not mind to wait longer for it, as long as I could, somehow, get my hands on it (and NOT via ebay for 300+ euro).

And this "technical problem" is limited to the PC version of the Inquisitor's Edition? The other versions (XBOne/360, PS3/4) can still be ordered via GameStops german online store. I know for sure that the PC version could be ordered online at least for a short time and suddenly the order button just for the this version was cancelled out... so the option to buy it online was definitely there.

A technical problem can occur when too many people try to order the game at the same time so their server crashes, or something like this. But a "technical problem" that results in a product being available in store only and not for online order sounds... odd, at least. If it would be something you can't ship because it's explosive, ok... but a game? Where is the difference to the other versions.

I really would like to know what the problem is... because as a customer I want to at least have the impression that the dealer I'm trying to buy a product from tells me the truth about the product and the availability of aforementioned product. If the dealer doesn't do that, I won't buy from him in the future. I really can't understand why they don't understand this fact... it's simple marketing.

Nope, Gamestop still won't ship internationally. If you're in a non-Gamestop country, you're just SOL, and from the little we've heard back so far, that's not going to change.

And now the price has dropped by a tenner since I ordered it, so I've asked them just what I'll actually be paying in the end.

I desperately WANT the cloth map. I framed my BG, BGII, ICEWIND DALE and Skyrim cloth maps in my office. I am very proud of those little adventure. I want the same for DAI, but I sure don't want to plop down the cash for the inquisitor edition.

Answer: I'll pay the lower price, when it ships.

What I expected, but good to have confirmed.

Did you check that it was still the deluxe version? The description of the PC version is different to the rest and doesn't make mention of it.

Yes, we'll see what they say.

Judging by the description it looks as if it should only be lacking the Flames of the Inquisition stuff i.e. it still has the throne, hart, unicorn, soundtrack and "bonus digital content - to be announced!" on it but not the flamy armour, weapons or armoured horse.  That wouldn't be too bad... relatively speaking *grinds teeth*

The response I got said "The PC version will come with the exact same content as for the other platforms" but then went on to list the physical stuff in the case.  So I requested clarification that it will also include all the digital content as well - and they "can confirm that the PC version will have the same digital content as well as the physical content".

So now I guess we'll see.

As said elsewhere gamestop say the games are the same across all platforms (same content etc). Fingers crossed. I'm keeping the emails though.
