Don't know why they should feel elitist...I find even Gold pretty boring. Mostly all enemies being super-elites and such...

 

Even now that I have a Gold-worthy class (Geth Juggernaut), I still stick to Silver. I prefer to have fun over creds, thanks (not that you can complain about money much by winning 33k every 15 minutes).

I have a grand total of 11 platinum extractions 10 were solos and 1 was a ninja switch. Platinum is poorly designed imo. I don't care about credits my Claymore is X

Among the plat games I played, more than half of them have been solos. That's the only time I actually find platinum bearable.

Otherwise, I consider platinum bullsh*t. Gold is infinitely more fun.

While in group, I only play plat. Unless I can find no one to play, so I end up playing gold most of the times. It´s rare to find plat companions. 

 

When solo, I play onn gold and silver. Solo plat is too hard for me (the most I was able to endure was until wave 8) and and bronze is just a big and boring desert.

I agree with whoever said that Gold is better than Platinum, though. Platinum has Geth on it.

The game needed something more difficult than gold, more bullet sponge bosses was a lazy solution.

I only play Plat under two conditions: Someone in the party needs credits for manifest, or we have a full team of 4 really strong players and there isn't enough to go around on Gold.

Other than that I find it rather tedious, and full of min/max weapons/builds which I don't enjoy playing around. It's nothing but TGIs, AIUs, Juggy's and Flamers.
