Definitely not elitist, nor would I call myself elite either, however lately I pretty much only play gold. I really don't enjoy platinum and I never pug it.

If you avoid all the set-up lobbies and MGers, plat PUGs are actually fairly good. That being said, I mostly play gold.

Don't know why they should feel elitist...I find even Gold pretty boring. Mostly all enemies being super-elites and such...
Even now that I have a Gold-worthy class (Geth Juggernaut), I still stick to Silver. I prefer to have fun over creds, thanks (not that you can complain about money much by winning 33k every 15 minutes).
No such specific thing as gold worthy class. Everything is gold worthy.

Just keep rolling. Also.. the Rare/UR pool is so large that the odds of getting a total troll build are IMO about 25%

I still haven't bothered to finish all the platinum waves sub challenges for map mastery. Whenever I play these days it is usually duoing with TechnoTurian or occasionally screwing around in U/U/G so I may just not finish them but meh.

Platinum sucks IMO except for Collectors. Just not fun for me. You can tell the people playing it only care about the credits, rather than having fun. Good luck finding a random group of pugs who are willing to do Collectors.
Gold is the best solution for me atm. It'd be nice if there was a Gold+ difficulty with less boss spam.
Platinum might not be so bad with 3 or 4 friends. If anybody needs an extra meat shield hit me up on Origin... otherwise Gold pugging til I die.
lol @ saying Platinum diffuculty is that much harder than Gold. Boss spam isn't hard, it's monotonous. DPS kings rule. Usually its the small fry that kills you while you're distracted by the bullet-sponge anyway.
