Eagle is what I use on that guy already (used to use the Phaeston on the Tsol).

That site seems to not get the idea about what trolling really means.

I strictly play Platinum. I rarely run across BSNers, probably because I don't recognize them, and they don't recognize me. I'm not celebrity status like some!!

Sure, this is Geth platinum. But every faction on plat has a geth prime and I fail to see how something like this could be fun.

Then why does TechnoTurian's name pop up in the killfeed? 

 

It's actually a duo, which is equivalent to (actually a bit better than) pugging with 3 bad randoms, which IMO is the true plat pug experience. That still doesn't change the fact that a single prime which didn't even a good LoS on me shot me using curving pulses and staggered me to death.

It's fun when a Mission Successful isn't expected. You just play for fun.

Give me a good example of why Platinum isn't fun.

I've only "rage quit" once, Collector/Condor with my Fury off host. I used all my gel by wave 5 and I allowed my emotions to get the better of me...

Give me a good example of why Platinum isn't fun.

You want one? Here's a few - pick whatever you like

1. Annoying boss spam - forces me to use a gun or a kit with good DPS, which I don't necessarily want to use (lolGIs and stuff)

2. Presence of geth & phantoms in every faction. Atleast on gold, there's only a 1/4 chance of getting geth and 1/4 chance of getting cerberus.

3. Too much RHA abusing. There isn't a single aspect of platinum which doesn't involve RHA. On gold, I can run around meleeing stuff for fun etc.

4. It's not fun when you get staggered from an enemy that doesn't even a LoS. It's not fun when banshees chase you relentlessly everywhere. 

5. Playstyle of several characters is limited because of lolbossspam. Vanguarding is way more fun on gold when you can charge more freely. On platinum, nope. 

 

And ya, I play for fun too. But if I play for 20+ minutes in a pug, the least I'd expect is a mission success. I can't guarantee this in a plat pug (and when I say pug, I mean with 3 randoms and no friends). If I have even a single friend whom I know to be a good player, then I don't care. I have someone to rely upon.

I play a bit of both. Platinum can be a boring grind sometimes, but sometimes it's still fun. I mostly like gold more cuz I can mostly goof around and still do well.

2. It's a fact. Nothing to debate there, lol. Every plat faction has atleast 1 wave with prime and phantoms.

2. To fulfill my faction satisfaction, I'd rather it be a single game rather than 3. one 30 min game vs three 20 min games.

4. Banshees can be stopped and avoided, or fought if necessary. Not every wave has double banshees.

5. No it isn't. Unless you count the Nova Vanguard. I don't like the Nova Vanguard, but I do use my Krogan Vanguard + Striker/Executioner on Platinum. How's that for limited playstlye.

The biggest knock I would say about Platinum is basically what mega and TNS already said.  It limits characters, builds and weapons much more than Gold.  And although technically it is more than possible to use any character, weapon, or build on Platinum, some are exponentially more tedious.

 

I also think the change in gate times makes latency an even larger factor in how much fun you will have.

I hate the Turian dodges, I wouldn't want to use a build that requires me to dodge with it.

I've used the Batarian Gauntlet Volus Vanguard w/ Falcon & CSMG with Platinum pugs before. Same with my melee Juggernaut.

Yeah.. Falcon AND CSMG. Why? Bc you always have to have an answer for the metric chit ton of armor. On Gold you can go with just the Falcon and have a good time.

Also.. the melee SaboTurian is freaking awesomesauce fun. To deny yourself that build bc 'I dun like da dodge' is just silly. Do you hate the Collector Adept too bc of bis dodge, since it's the same? The Collector Adept is one of the most fun kits in the game IMO. You don't like the Novaguard either? What's wrong with you girl?
