For some reason people equate TGI/KroLord/AIU with "autowin". Pity it so rarely holds true. A poor player is going to play poorly, regardless of the kit they use.

Couldn't care less. I personally dislike the TGI and find the playstyle that comes with playing the kit boring, but if someone likes it, why not? I do agree that it is annoying when there is more than 1 TGI in a lobby and someone is trying to play a grenade kit.

 

Edit: So after reading some of OP's posts... Is this DexSD's alternate? I've never seen a BSNer lmao-ing so much.

TGI and CH? Most probably a scrub, but at least no SF, RM, Flamer spam or Vorcha(I hate Vorcha).

Or you overload everything. All the time. Even if it no longer has shields and you don't have anything to detonate or to detonate with. Especially in a full team of Biotics - overload everything in your line of sight.

This. Why should I care what pugs use? I'm certainly not going to start something as inane as kicking people for their choice of kit. Tgi harrier isn't that good anyway.

People consider the krolord and auto win now too? Against Geth maybe, but not otherwise IMO.

Don't actually see a-lot of Geth Infiltrators actually, see more Alliance Infiltration Units.

Self revive easy mode is definitely a little more annoying, but don't care overall.

I feel like the GI takes a lot more skill than people give it credit for. How is it easier than grenade spam exactly?

GI punishes errors more harshly than any class besides Geth Engi and Drell kits.

I suppose I was sort of agreeing with you in my previous post, I was just pointing out the AIU is just easier to use over all

Yep, more often than not it is quite difficult to see through the sea of flame. If I run vorcha (with CSMG AP), I just 'touch' with the flamer, follow with CSMG and Carnage to denote. Works well on almost everything even on Platinum, and the others can also see what they are doing. If there is another flamer, and he/she is spamming the flamer, I only use the Carnage to denote...

I had this discussion with Dzifezei on my TGI spec: he thought I am nuts for not having overload at all.... Anyways, I don't run with overload for the reason limbs mentioned, and use the Lancer instaed of the Harrier, so I don't feel to be locked down to the ammo boxes (1 run per wave on average, as I tend to run as a Turian, so no running backward, only stepping backward ). A bit more grenade friendly approach, I think, and with Warp IV I only help the biotics team's business.

 

OP: if you see me with a Lancer, I will do my best to take care of myself. I hate to be a liability...

so is Nova spamming, shockwave spamming....

I've had those "I bet that guy can handle himself" thoughts (inb4 innuendos) when a TGI or GI shows up, mainly after lurking on the forums for ages and seeing the love those builds get.

 

But I've seen a bunch of players (fairly high N7 etc.) on gold recently be pretty underwhelming with them. Not an epeen post, not "oh i beat them with my volusprediter".. I just mean going down a lot, not contributing much. Skilled players on here probably take such powerful classes for granted a little, I come across a lot of seemingly experienced pugs struggle using squishy stuff.
