Howdy football and Mass Effect 2 fans. This Sunday January 24th at 4:40 PM , myself and other members of the BioWare office will be watching the NFC Championship game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints from one of our favorite watering holes. This is one of two match ups to see who will go on to play in the Superboel!

"What? Why shoud I care about American football, Evil Chris" I hear you say. Well let me tell you.

One - It is going to be an amazing football game.

Two - Our awesome ME2 launch trailer is confirmed to be in Break 25, better known as the “2 minute warning break.”  Where over 35 million viewers will see the trailer. Also, just as the 2nd half of the game begins, the announcer will recap the 1st half as “brought to you by Mass Effect 2” with the attached image on screen.

Three - to keep you all entertained as we cheer on the teams, we are going to be Live streaming the event and hosting a fan chat on BioWares Ustream Channel http://www.ustream.tv/bioware

During the game me and the rest of the folks will be chattign online about the game, Mass Effect 2, Life at BioWare and more. We're also going to be randomly giving away ME2 swag every 15 minutes to the fans like t-shirts, posters, comic books and more.

So if you want to chat about Mass Effect 2, football or just watch me and a bunch of BioWarians drink beer and eat chicken wings, NOW is your opportunity.

Just epic, and the fact that there will be a "brought to you by Mass Effect 2" for a recap, just insane. BioWare, with EA at your side now, you guys really have stepped up your marketing skills.

Why is Bioware experimenting with so many different chat formats leading up to ME2? First it was Xfire, then Facebook chat and now uStream? Why don't they pick on and stick with it? o.o

I have my respect boosted even more for ea now(with the other one being their protection of mass effect from fox), infact, they did a good job on this one.

Because they want many people to hear about the game, truth be told, this technique will make bioware even surpass bungie's popularity

I'll be too busy yelling at the tv to be watching you guys yelling at the tv. Though I'll be lookin out for the trailer. I'm a Minnesotan, so you guys better be rooting for the Vikes. Unless your all Jinx's. Then root for the Saints. I'd like to see the Vikes go to the Super Bowl once in my lifetime, and this seems to be our best chance.



P.S. no "you betcha" jokes.... I've yet to meet anyone that's actually said that.

It reaches more people. A lot of people would never touch Facebook, and a lot of people don't go to Xfire or Ustream. Hitting them all ensures more people see it.

That is indeed truly amazing Chris!!! And given that the game is perfectly clean of all the issues the first one had I am absolutely sure all 35 million spectators will never regret purchasing ME2 either. Glad I preordered my copies.

I am extremely happy that BioWare seems to have learned from RockStar's financial failure(especially with 2nd DLC for GTA IV) and you guys fixed all the romance interests in ME2 as they should be.
