I would love to have a scene where Sandal and Bodahn are fighting a group of enemies, and ultimately Bodahn gets fatally wounded during the fight. The Inquisitor arrives to save the day by killing the enemies that were attacking the two dwarves. Right before Bodahn dies he ask the Inquisitor to take care of his boy Sandal in return to gain access to enchanted weapons and armor, or to have your weapons/armor enchanted by him. Once the Inquisitor accepts in taking Sandal in he becomes apart of the Inquisition.

I think we'll be able to recruit Sandal away from Celene's court out of necessity, as I suspect he is going to be important somehow. After his premonitions in DA2, his mysterious connection to the Fade that dwarfs should not have, and his ability to enchant and possibly do magic, I can't see him not having a somewhat major role. He'll at the least be a useful NPC for our Keep. I hope to have both him and Bodhan kicking around my Keep doing research and swinging on chandeliers.

 

But if Bodhan dies I want it to be from natural circumstances with the full understanding that his boy is not only cared for, but well off and respected in his own right. He's done so much to raise Sandal right and secure his future, so I'd like him to know that none of his efforts have been in vain.

Am I the only one who thinks having a tranquil around as your enchanter would be more interesting and cause more debate as to the nature of the chantry, circle and mages and what's right or not...?

I dunno about the scene the OP thought up but I'd be surprised if Sandal/Bodahn didn't show up. Leliana and Varric can both attest to him standing amidst a pile of dead bodies. If the Inquisitor is smart, he'll hear about the Red Templars being entrenched in Emprise du Lion and send Sandal to the area. A week later, he'll come along and the whole army will be dead at Sandal's feet. "Enchantment?"

Yeah Bodahn and Sandal has to be a part of the game.

When Bodahn spoke of taking Sandal to Orlais I immediatly thought "ooh, the next game will take place in Orlais"

 

I believe the innquisitor will run into them and have them around, not so sure about recruiting Sandal though. But I have a feeling Bodahn might die during this game, from age probably. Man that will break my heart.
I am sure Sandal will have a huge inpact - but if it's in this game or in the next game I just can't say.

 

It would be cool if we needed Sandal to close the rifts to the Fade.

Eh who cares? He was boring and old anyways. I would actually like to see this scenario in-game.

I think Sandal and Bodahn will definitely be apart of the Inquisition. They will probably be at the keep and Bodahn will sell you stuff while Sandal enchants stuff. I think Sandal will be a atleast semi-big part of the game.
