There is this conservative commentary website called Townhall. The conservative commentators like Brent Bozell and Rebecca Hagelin are critical of violent entertainment. What do you think? Do they have an agenda? Do conservatives hate the idea of adults playing video games? If so I think that they are bullies!

Here is an anti video game who is part of the Democratic Party. He is nothing but an arrogant bully! He does not care about freedom!

How do we deal with these anti gaming bigots?

To be honest.

We wait.

They are a dying breed.

It isn't just conservatives, it's also liberals who think parents aren't smart enough to be parents.

Like Gravisanimi said, we'll just wait it out. The number of video game protesters is getting less each day.

I think the anti gaming crusaders have been discredited. One of the most famous of the anti gaming bigots happens to be a disbarred lawyer. Who the hell would listen to a disbarred lawyer?

What's worse is that he was disbarred because of his behavior against videogames

And he doesn't believe he was actually disbarred, so he's clearly delusional.

I just calmly sit here and watch them scream bloody murder at my face, all the whilst enjoying the orgasmy hypocrisy if people attacking me as person and instable character whilst I am the one passively absorbing all their hate.

Irony is such a great way to make the day.

Shame though it won't last for long. They soon find out this billion dollar industry is what pays their lifestyle and election campaigns, so they'll look for a new minority to try and bully around soon enough. It's a politician thing.

Pfft, lax gun laws breed violence. If stupid people can buy guns, than logically they are going to do stupid things.

I disagree there.

Lax gun laws do not breed violence. It's violent people that are the problem, not the fact they can easily access guns (however contradictory that may seem). After all normal people don't suddenly turn violent after holding a gun or whatever. It's the already violent prone people that now have guns that shoot people or otherwise commit crimes with guns. That however, does not change the basic premise. Violent people are still violent, it simply expresses itself differently in statistics. If those people do not have firearms, they do violence with knifes, bats, fists, cars or whetever else they can get their hands on.

Accessability to firearms does not change that, it only changes how the violence is taking place and how it's recorded. Anyone who wishes grievous harm on somebody else can do it, it doesn't matter if he shoots you dead, or beats and kicks you until you're a corpse on the curb.

I do agree however that the ease of use and massive damage potential of a gun does have an effect on immediate violent capacity. It's easier to just shoot someone than to have face him in a fist brawl, particularily if the victim does not have a gun on his/her own, giving a potentionally violent person a false sense of power and invincibility, eliminating "risk" from their own judgement when guaging whether to start a fight.

That however is another point and has to be dealt with proper sensibilisation against violence, something that no gun law could ever achieve.

Or, in short: stupid people do stupid things and the only way to stop that is make them less stupid and hence less likely to do stupid things.

I personally don't get offended anymore.

It's just not worth it.

My plan for dealing with them is to largely ignore them until they find the newest thing to blame all of society's problem on.

I don't care a whole lot about what other people think of how I spend my spare time unless they are capable of creating a law that affects me and doesn't get shot down.

Some people need to just Lenin go.

I'm probably missing some inside joke here.

I think it has more to do with belittling gamers (as "bloodthirsty" outcasts, especially) than vidya gaems.

Next the government will ban bronies.

That would actually be a really good idea. Just think about it: all of society's problems would go away!

Poverty would go away due to people spending less money on pony paraphernalia.

Unemployment would go away, due to people working instead of watching MLP or going to Bronycon.

Extended adolescence would shorten, and people would become productive before age 30 again because they would no longer think being obsessed with a little girls' show is acceptable.

The blight is a strong one. The benefits for killing it are almost infinite: BAN THE BRONIES!
