That would be a cool feature if we got to pick different banners.

Yeah, especially because I'm not a particularly big fan of the Inquisition's insignia or Black Banner. I could live with keeping the insignia itself even though it reminds me too much of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but hopefully we aren't stuck with flat-black background for it.

I have seen the Inquisition's Spaghetti Monster insignia against different backgrounds on at least one banner in the Digiexpo leak, the flags that line the main path of Griffon Wing Keep are different than the traditional Black-Banner we're used to seeing. At least I think that's an Inquisition banner...

Can see it here at this time, embedding doesn't seem to work.

May His Noodly Appendage bless you, my child, as does He bless all of his true believers. ;)

I would really like to have a large deal of control over the appearance of the Keep, and I feel like with the inclusion of the Skyhold Throne (if I'm remembering the name properly), some degree of customization is a given. I'm not sure if you've played the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3, but you acquire an apartment and can buy different textures for certain pieces of furniture, and I see something like that and possibly the model ship/fish collection from the base base game being used. And I must say, I had been wondering about pets as well, and while I would love to have a plethora of kitties and foxes and Mabari and nugs all scampering about, I think mounts might be the closest we get to pets. :/

It is called Skyhold Throne and yeah we will receive different thrones. I heard a rumor that different thrones and mounts will have different effects and such. Hope that's true cause it would be cool. I have played all of the ME DLC lol and I loved Citadel because that apartment was boss though I had more than a few glitchy moments trying to buy furniture and get it placed in my apt. so I hope that gets cleared up if there is that level of customization for our Keeps.

I agree about the pets, Mounts are probably gonna function as the de facto pets unfortunately but I hope that they will notice the demand for a pet and maybe create a DLC or add it in last minute lol

Same here. Except with ps4... and a mustache.
But if Inquisition truly lacks the customization I'd feel it deserves and is a fun enough game, I just might get it for the PC as well some day.

If I had a computer that could adequately run it, the money and knew how to mod, I would probably get it for console and PC. For that same reason.

i do recall them mentioning wed have some customisation of skyhold our main base at least though if thats any comfort.

For me, that would largely depend on how customizable it would be. I'm hoping it will be more in depth and not utterly worthless and pointless.

Look at it this way; what if you could only have one type of chair throughout the stronghold-but could change the color to any one you want? No bells or whistles or modifications, just the color alone; Would that satisfy you? Because it wouldn't satisfy me.

I really hope we get to have pets in the keeps, even if they are just random dogs and cats--I'm hoping the Keep system will bring back the feeling ME's Normandy crew had. The Normandy crew as a whole felt like a cohesive family with crew member npcs talking to one another (like that ongoing mini story in ME3 of that one NPC trying to get his family to safety) so I'm hoping, through customization options and otherwise, a little of that feeling will be in the Keeps as well.

More on topic, customizable (or choosable) banners and varying Keep layouts would be awesome even if we didn't get to do it ourselves.

Ok, as we all know, there will be Keeps in the game that we can acquire and then we can choose what to make each Keep the "hub" of. Merchants, Military/Political, or Espionage/Scouts(these may or may not be the choices but they are the closest I have found).

In keeping with this idea, do you all think that we will be able to go into a deeper level and more invasive level of customization? Like how many towers there will be? What kind of stone is used for the walls? Also, there is the idea of settling disputes between the people of the Keep, kind of like in Fable 3. Do you think we'll be settling land and property disputes?

Will each Keep have a different layout/map?

Then there is the idea of Banners. As an Inquisitorial Squad, and as such, we become organized(eventually im sure), do we get to design a Banner for our Inquisitor to carry and that we can use to hang on our taken Keeps? That would be so neat in my opinion. Our own colors and designs and such.

This one goes back to Dragon Age: Origins and the idea of mounts. Obviously if we have mounts we have to have a place to put them in our Keeps, which means we will have a stable of some sort. Remember when Leliana received the Nug as a pet from the Warden? Remember Ser Pounce-A-Lot? They were adorable and we could even interact with them to a certain extent. If we have Keeps and mounts, I think we should be able to purchase or capture pets and place them in our Keeps.

I would love to run around my Keep and see a pack of those Cat/Fox creatures running around lol. Domesticated of course so they don't attack my citizens. Or what about Halla? It's been confirmed we don't have a Halla mount(at this time yet anyway) so could we get one as a pet from the Dalish forest?

Just some thoughts I have been having while wondering the forums that I hadn't really seen being asked or addressed.

What do you all think? Thanks for reading!

I think the banners will be the eye in a sun thing, but I'd love to see everything you've written. Really good!

Thank you! I do think the banner thing won't happen as well but to be honest I trust Bioware and have hope that they will give us multiple ways to customize our world. Everything in my post is just me being a bit greedy and always wanting more lol. I love RPG'S and customization so I want that extreme level of it in such a wonderful game as I know this will be.
