IMO, the Typhoon is made for people with 0 aim for headshots. Same for the Spitfire.

Regarding Typhoon, I use it and Raider on the Destroyer to great effect http://kalence.drupa...24Z57314!G.0AGG
There are a few videos on youtube showing Destroyers dunking with the nerfed Typhoon on Platinum. It's a good gun.
Wait, does that mean the Typhoon doesn't need headshots, or that it helps you get the headshots?
Partly confused by the inclusion of Spitfire, which is not very good if you don't get headshots with it.

I just say that, having tried both, the Harrier is like a precise needle in my hands, whereas the Typhoon is like a plastic glove.
I mean, with the Harrier, I kill enemies even without wanting to kill them. If I'm having too much of a killing spree, I go like "well, I'm gonna just weaken that one and let some other do the kill". But more than once it just ended up killing them anyways... D:

:
The Harrier is so powerful in my hands that the enemies just drop dead when they see me carrying it. Or jump off the edge of the map. It frightens them so much that they never even wait to see if I actually have any ammo.
While running a sub par setup for the Harrier will make you do a double look at the gun and say "Huh? Did I somehow turn the full auto off or something?"
I've done lvl 1 solos using the Harrier as my only weapon and it worked perfectly fine, so what the heck are you talking about? No way that I would use the Lancer instead.
Also, try the Lancer on a Drell, works amazingly well if you only use soft cover and always aim down the sight!

Maybe you should stop playing on Bronze then...
Have you tried Typhoon with TSol/Destroyer/GT?
Uhmmm..no, mostly with my juggy. I know the weapon gains a bonus in recoil when used under cover, but I know how to compensate it (the few it has).
And after trying it a bit more...OK, I admit the Typhoon is better against bosses. I managed to kill 2 ravagers without having to reload, whereas with the Harrier I kill one at most. But against foot soldiers...slow as hell, even when aiming at headshots.
As I said before, by the time I kill 1 Cannibal with the Typhoon, I've killed 3 with the Harrier. Still, I'll leave the Typhoon as a decent second choice.
Maybe you should stop playing on Bronze then...
Read my sign.
Now that I think about it, I've never tried Gold with the juggy equipped with the Harrier. Maybe I'll try someday.

I would recommend the Juggernaut. I mean, stability bonuses are nice, but its unique advantage is the fact that its so tall that it can see the top of enemies heads, making headshots easier to score. I exclusively use the spitfire on it and the HS medals aren't terribly difficult to get.

I USE the Juggernaut ![]()
And I already have the HS medals since long ago. I do them because of the extra damage (well, headshots/weak points).
I would actually recommend using the Typhoon on the Human/Turian Soldier, N7 Destroyer, or Flamerless Geth Trooper rather than the Juggernaut.

Well, I have to play the Destroyer for the aforementioned banner, so I'll give it a try, I guess..? D:
Just seen that video that was changed from private to public (keep it public, please), and wow. 102 max bullets on the Lancer.
Lousy no good show 'em off bum.
... er, but yeah. This video shows exactly what I was saying before and what I always see with myself playing. During it's recharge rate you're usually scanning for other targets, repositioning, dodging, etc. to even notice. Not to mention like using powers (me tossing two nades with the Turian chick = full ammo ready to use from almost empty. Much, much better then running to ammo box and losing, what's usually the case to me, a sweat position you may of had or been going for). So yeah, this gun is like an infinite non-stop ammo spraying machine that shreds almost as good as the Harrier. And seeing in that vid how much better it gets, lol, it just boggles the mind that so many brush it off?
K, I don't think I want to touch the Lancer any more until after the spending spree after seeing that video.
Ditto for Harrier. ![]()

I get the impression that you prefer to stay in cover and hold a position rather than chasing enemies aggressively
Lancer is a good gun for this type of game play. If your preference is to race to spawns and attack everything or you like CQC then it is not a great choice. The Harrier can be used for both types of game play .
Ok, some advice from NulcearTech76 (use amour ammo with extended ammo. Check!), and robertlilja2 (use Lancer on Drell... guess it don't matter which?.. And, check!). .... Grr... but I may try this in another 3.5 mill more after the spending spree which I'm hopping to get very luck in these two weapons...
EDIT - lol, just went out on the balchony for some, ahem, fresh air and thought about that Drell/Lancer suggestion DumDum2 mentioned and right away I remembered for some reason that charge weapon/Drell glitch, lol. ... still need to see that for myself instead of a vid, but won't be wasting any good consumables, lol.... And for real, the Lancer is affected too? Even the CSMG?! The vid I seen awhile back only showed the Particle Rifle... and nice try, DumDum, but I've done a tone of readings for ME3mp. Reading about my fave games goes hand in hand with... playing my favourite games. ![]()

lol, this made me lol.... though not sure if it should of? ...
Anywho, where the heck were you went I sent you them two invites, scrub!!! I really badly needed some help. I only had a scrub Jug joing me for wave 3 then leave for being to much of a sore loser, even after saving his butt, EVERY SINGLY TIME! lol. Anywho, you not joining made me do my first Gold solo which I don't want to start doing yet (will make be a better player too fast, thus lose out on more replay, lol). Well, not like I had to be any good playing with the Cabal & scrub shield boost.
.... Also, sadly, it was while I was testing the Harrier. IT SHOULD OF BEEN THE LANCER FOR MY FIRST SOLO!! Darn you marksmad!! ... Well, the setup I had was level 2 Assault Amp & Incindiary Ammo + Piece & Extended Barrel mods + Warfighter gear & a lousy level 1 power amp which may of helped when my Carrier constantly RAN OUT OF AMMO!!! ROAR!! Really made taking Bashees much more of a pain when I had to say "Sorry, Banshee, but you must wait right here out of sight of the rest of enemies, that includes other Banshee, while I get some more ammo, OK?" Needless to say, she wouldn't listen, ever.
... Oh, right, right, right. Better get on to NuclearTech76's advice and see how that goes? Guess he means max level consumables too?... Probably max level Harrier instead of level 4 too. ![]()

Here's my build for that solo. You can nearly match the damage if you use this. I had damage reduction instead of weapon damage in Adrenaline Rush for some other builds.
When I first started up the game tonight I ended up doing one just for the hell of it. Same build as you have actually, except I think I took APIV. But I went v Cerberus on Giant. Phantoms were of course amusing, at least you can keep them flipping with the Lancer.
I USE the Juggernaut

Here are the first 3 waves of a Reaper Gold solo. It should give you an indication of how it handles on Xbox.
Big thanks for the video, I finally had the chance to watch it. Nice shooting!
The stability you're able to achieve with the Lancer without using any helpers seems quite impressive to me. When I play, I feel like the reticle is jumping from place to place, but in your vid, it looks like it's just slowly wandering around.
Now, I don't mean to belittle your skill, but I wonder if stability works differently on consoles vs. PC. I managed to find a video by Feneckus in which the handling of the weapon looks very much like I've come to know it, and in my opinion the difference to your video is very much noticeable. I know how good a player Feneckus is, yet his accuracy with Lancer is nowhere near where it could easily be with CSMG (of course, I don't know whether he was even trying to be particularly accurate with his fire).
I believe that, at least on PC, while recoil can be managed to a degree, without increasing weapon stability it's actually physically impossible to really negate it using just the mouse. For me this means that in most situations I'll still prefer CSMG over Lancer.
If anyone knows more about the inner workings of recoil/stability on different platforms, please share your knowledge!

I can give some insight.
Xbox has a "feature" that makes sight picture harder to change when an enemy is nearby. If you look at the Cannibal kill at 0:32 watch how much I aim to the right after I kill it. That is how much I have to fight the controller. It is basically a damper that makes it hard to adjust your aim. Using a Hurricane I can shoot at a wall and it linearly rise, but I can counter that rising with the right amount of stick movement down. Now if I use the Hurricane and shoot at a Banshee it will rise similarly, but no matter how much I press the stick down I can't match how fast the recoil pushes up. Sometimes it helps, other times it hurts. I can't kill a Platinum Phantom with a Talon GI because this gun moves too slowly for me to keep up, paired with auto-aim pushing me off target when I ADS.
To counter this you will see me take very small pauses while shooting, like with the Marauder at 1:01. Another thing I do is stop ADSing while shooting and snapping back to ADS when I have the cursor where I want it. This really helps with Brutes because of how big and fast moving they are. I'm fighting the recoil quite a bit, but I'm fighting smart. ![]()
On PC (with my limited experience) you don't have the dampening, so any over-correction is much more noticeable. The plus side is you don't have problems with not being able to move fast enough.

How do you get headshots with a Typhoon? The bloom is too large.

Thanks for the explanation. It didn't even cross my mind how aim assist might affect or be affected by recoil/stability. Interesting stuff!

So, you're in a trolling mood again... ![]()
I'll bite.
While the Typhoon has a wide spread, its density is greatest in the middle. The better your aim is, the better you're able to track the target, the larger percentage of your shots will hit the head and the higher your effective DPS will be.
When I first tried the Typhoon, I pretty much dismissed it as a lowly spray-and-pray weapon. Now, having used it a lot more, I've come to realize how much difference good aim, good tracking and fast target switching really make. Protip: it's a big difference.
