Single clip dps is 848. Go play some more.

Those 48 points make a big difference. Yeah.
Esp. when you remember that PPR has ~1300 single and ~700 multi. Carrier has ~ 1100 single and ~900 multi (short reload).
Not to mention that lancer barely oneclips biggies (unless you use TGI/GI), so single clip dps barely matters

Valk is actually a better boss killer than lancer. While it's single clip of ~850 is not outstanding (same as lancer), ridiculously short reload allows to achieve quite decent ~700points of sustained deeps.
Should I mention that it's a great mook killer?

Yeah, Valkyrie>>>>>>Lancer. Come at me spray and pray scrubs.

I don't think the lancer is anything really that special, but I like it lots more than the csmg.

I agree with the first part of your statement. On the second part not so much.

CSMG is my personal favorite weapon in the game. The whole idea of shooting a gun is to make sure the bullets hit the intended target. Can you say the same about the Lancer?

IMO the CSMG beats the Lancer in several categories:

1) Recoil: I can use this gun from just about any distance and consistently land headshots.

2) Armor Modifier: It does 150% to Armor. Just throw on Disruptor Ammo and you can easily deal with both defenses.

3) Applying Ammo Effects: Not to many guns do it better. Maybe the Talon, Venom, Adas, and lolAcolyte do it slightly better

I keep hearing that some of the better players have no trouble accounting for Lancer's recoil using their mouse or controller (presumably to the degree that it can rival CSMG in hit percentage). I'd really, really like to see this demonstrated on a video. I'm not being disingenious, I'd sincerely love to see such a feat.

For me, Lancer's recoil is a major reason (though not the only one) why I consider CSMG better. With CSMG I can track a moving enemy's head from a considerable distance, with Lancer I can't - therefore, despite its lower base damage, CSMG kills things faster in my hands. Sure, I can keep adjusting my aim so the reticule points in the right general direction, but my accuracy definitely suffers because of the recoil. Am I just a bad player?

Is it really better than most automatics?  It has a ROF of 800 which is actually not ideal for chance based ammo effects (cryo, disruptor).  It does ok damage so for burn priming it isn't too bad (incendiary).

This looks like a job for Human Soldier.

I'm guessing this video shouldn't be using a Turian?

Yeah, preferably something with no stability helpers at all. I'd really just like to see what's actually possible with pure human ability. Maybe it'd inspire me to improve myself in an area where I now feel like there really nowhere to go.

2) 50%, according to the ME wiki.

3) I still have to run into a gun who doesn't 100% profit from ammo effects.

Nope. Some people are more adept to compensating it, some don't. That's why there are so many varieties of weapons.

50% bonus to armor is the same thing as 150% damage to armor. Plus, don't use the wiki :P

Yep, cos that totally makes sense...

Also, I'd like to know why I should trust more this forum than the wiki...

Hahaha wow.

Okay.

100% damage + 50 bonus damage vs armor = 150% total damage vs armor

We have actual dataminers here who test and calculate mostly everything.

Because the wiki is maintained by trash moderators who consistently delete information obtained by our dataminers and testers from the wiki.

And there's any weapon who doesn't do it's "100% damage"?

Reegar does 50% damage to armor.

Here are the first 3 waves of a Reaper Gold solo. It should give you an indication of how it handles on Xbox. :)

Well.. he was one of the dudes who did a lot of very valuable testing. Another reason you should trust BSN for raw info is because when someone says something, if it's wrong.. 5 others will step up and give the correct information bc no one wants bad information getting circulated, especially in a game where there is no in-game source of game mechanics.

The wiki has been wrong several times in the past. It's not a reliable source. If you have a question.. ask it here.

Right, I see your point.... :D

Any more? Or it's the exception?

It feels like pugs overtaken BSN.

1,5 base damage modifier is 1,5 modifier. Aside from reeger there are no guns with <1 defence modifiers, AFAIK. But there are plenty of guns with >1 def. modifiers. I don't understand any issues here.

They were tested, they were datamined, by the guys who still are around here, right in this thread.

I have no reason to trust em less than I would trust semianonimous wiki, whose authors use this forum as a source of their "head knowledge" anyways.

It gets that way every now and then. Just a month ago Luckystarr and Engin33r were talking to us like we were idiots.. guess another wave is coming in.

At least the trolls are scarce these days :D  There have  been some good debates recently without the name calling and personal attacks that used to be common place once upon a time. I may disagree with some views but doesnt mean that I dont respect other opinions or experiences

Then don't.

Test it yourself or open the bin file personally if you know how.

If you don't, learn.

If you don't want to learn, then too bad, no one can help you.

In case you're totally relying on the bin file, here's something i experienced before. On spawn protection, there was a reply by redjohn saying it was spawn immunity, to a post where i mentioned the spawn protection was damage reduction (based off relevant field name in the bin file). He was right when i went ahead and tested it myself. It was not DR but total immunity.
