Lesbian femshep all the way. Jen Hale is awesome, and I like the idea of a tough as nails hottie saving the universe being lusted over by half the male galaxy, only they can never, ever get her. Then, a sweet nerdy girl arrives from the outer colonies and lands Shepard, who had rebuffed all previous attempts.

I can believe it for the romances, that really is the area male Shep fails in.

I thought ME2 kinda sucked in terms of romances all around. With M!Shep, it almost feels like he's going around the ship exploiting the emotional vulnerabilities of his companions (Jack especially) or just using really cornball come-ons, and F!Shep can sound way too eager to woo a carbon rod, with her only other options being a lizard, a sort of lizard, and the therapist who ends up living in a refugee crate for the remainder of the story. This is why I only now have both of my Shepards establish something in ME1 and never move on from them (Liara/FemShep and Ashley/Broshep).

Next day, TIM gives us a buzz over QEC to tell us that Jacob's requested a transfer.

Just out of curiosity I pursued a Jacob romance in my current playthrough. At one point, after his loyalty mission, I called him naive and he told me not to talk to him anymore unless it was about the mission. I'm happy to comply if he can't take a little criticism. Maybe I'll see if Thane's still interested.

I though the Tali and Miranda romances could avoid coming off that way (granted, it depends on which dialogue choices you pick - paragon in particular comes off as a creep in some circumstances with both of them, gotta choose neutral (Tali) or renegade (Miranda) responses).

I wish FemShep didn't autoflirt with Jacob and James, and it'd have been nice if there were a bit more reaction from Shepard in the pre-Cronos scene with Tali (Shepard: "Thanks" *shuffles away* Me: dafuq?), but other than that it seemed OK.

I'm told the ME2 Jacob romance is the only one which gives leeway for Shepard to discuss how she feels about her past, her own concerns and difficulties. I'll be curious to see it if my Adept playthrough gets that far.

It would be great to be able to choose voice acting for a character.

But that's expensive.

Saints Row managed somehow...

Ya, Jacob is really sensitive -- and don't you dare talk about his father!

I wish FemShep didn't autoflirt with Jacob and James...

Somehow, this didn't bug me at all, because it seemed mutual and more like a playful friendly thing than anything serious. The fact that Vega is not really a character that can be romanced helps, though. I guess in Jacob's case, it also doesn't work well because he simply doesn't have the personality for that kind of dynamic.

My headcanon is a mixture of Paragon maleshep and Renegade femshep. They were both orphans on Earth eventually recruited into the Alliance. Femshep dropped out and joined a merc group; maleshep became an Alliance hero. I like this setup because it allows me to play around with what happens in the series: who is a part of maleshep's squad (mostly the ME1 squad)? Femshep's (mostly the important ME2 characters)? Who does the Suicide Mission? Who ultimately activates the Crucible in ME3?

ME1 is all maleshep which establishes him as the ostensible hero, according to the galaxy. Femshep is reintroduced into the story at the beginning of ME2 when maleshep is killed by the Collectors.

I usually play as a FemShep. Mark Meer is a good voice actor, he is great with his volus and vorcha for example...but I honestly liked Jennifer Hale's voice acting better, espcially in ME1 (Jennifer Hale and Ali Hillis also have excellent chemistry together). With this said, there are occasions during which Jennifer Hale's voice acting is a bit too dramatic ;)

Isn't this is the point where someone posts a link to the videos showing Shepard screaming Steve?

I thought the bad part about that scene was the awkward transition immediately afterwards.

hetero femshep. always.

I don't like to cross gender RP unless I have no choice.

I do romance both Kaidan and Garrus because that's all there is for hetero females.

You sure? =]

From what Meer said in an interview I suspect BW did that on purpose.

I didn't even really know Steve was a character until my third time through, when I was looking up war assets online.

So he would be shot down, and Shepard would yell Steve, and I would be completely confused. I thought the pilot was just an unnamed NPC.

Hetro MShep. I identify with him the most. Played FShep all the way through the series, but didn't get into the story as much. Enjoyed all my play throughs as MShep and FShep but I enjoyed the voice acting in 3 from MShep better. I plus I couldn't fully put myself in FShep's shoes when romancing any character through my play through. MShep I was naturally attracted to Ash, Miranda or Jack. Though I did enjoy the Thane romance as Femshep. Liked romancing Liara as MShep, but FShep, wasn't interesting nor could I get it behind it. I have nothing against same sex preference but two women or two men engaging in intercourse, doesn't float my boat.

Hetro female Shepard's Kaiden and Garus.

Bi male Shepard's just to be role playing that type of person. So I can romance Kaiden in me3 or Cortez
I have some straight males that romance Ash or Miranda in two and stay with her in the end. Liara is forever alone in my play throughs.

@Excella Gionne There is no other point of view. All the characters see M/F Shep the same way unless its romance.

Do you prefer playing Female or Male?

Always Male.

 An what sexual preference?

Always Hetero.

An lastly do you prefer a man or woman in charge?

No preference as long as they have balls/ovaries of steel in the face of crushing odds.

So he would be shot down, and Shepard would yell Steve, and I would be completely confused. I thought the pilot was just an unnamed NPC.

An annoying bug to say the least, especially if you never talked to him.
