Eh. Even if they dont release it, the list will be out all over the internet less than half a day upon release anyway.
Do you think we will learn all the LI and their oriantations before the game launches?

We found out who the romance options were and which genders they were available to before DAO and DA2, so I expect we'll know before the game arrives.
(Honestly, all I want to know is if Varric is an option. If I need to roleplay my female dwarf as pining hopelessly, I would like some bracing time.)

Think the bigger question is where most of the LIs be bi again.
Unless that has already been answered, eitherway hope so. Makes things more interesting.

Gaider said they are going the set sexuality route with LIs like the ones of the Mass Effect franchise or Origins rather than the "everyone is available to anyone" route they did in DA2. A mistake and step back in my opinion.

Most people here think they'll go the 2/2/2 route, which means this:
1 straight man
1 straight woman
1 bisexual man
1 bisexual woman
1 gay man
1 gay woman
That way everyone has at most 4 options, 2 of each gender.

Spend hours romancing Vivienne as a Human Male, get to the final lines of dialogue.
"Sorry, I like Dwarf Girls........"
".............F#@K"
Don't give them any ideas.

I doubt they'll do race gating. The number of LIs required then would make it impractical.

Makes sense and would match up with how the last game headed(ME 3).

I personally hope for 2/4/2 since we pretty much know NPCs will be romancable due to Cullen's reveal. So basically the 2/2/2 but with the 2 NPC romances being bisexual as well. That way everyone has a choice with companions still since not everyone likes NPC romances.

I think bioware will announce 2/4/2 around the same time the keep comes out.

It's possible the romance options will be revealed by the time of release, but the sexual orientations? Doubt it. Also hopefully, it's only 4 romances, 6 is overkill.

Asking as someone whose only exposure to bioware is the dragon age series, have they ever done so many LIs in one game before?

By ME3 there were a lot, but they weren't necessarily all that well done.

I know, right? Some LIs got lots of screen time and closure while others got a handful of scenes...or Shepard got dumped after six frickin' months in Jacob's case.
Anyway, more on topic, I think we will know but it won't be from an official source. Prima either made the brilliant mistake of releasing the companion section of their guide as a preview or it got leaked. Either way, it led to some interesting reactions. If the LIs don't either get leaked or announced, I'll be surprised.

I thought Steve's romance was done very well. Helping him get over the death of his husband was well done whether you were romancing him or not but I felt that the romance aspect added some very sweet and tender moments.
I didn't think Samantha's romance was well done at all....the shower scene ugh.
If the DA:I NPC romances are like Steves, then I'm all for them, if they are like Samantha's then I'm super not.

They all hook up with each other, and none express any interest in the Inquisitor. #foreveralone

....Do you get to help matchmake which ones end up with which? Because I'd still kind of be into that.
Although I'd probably ruin everything by constantly and unsuccessfully trying to push Iron Bull and Varric together.

With set sexuality, there is no way there will only be 4. That would literally be 1 choice per orientation.

Indifferent actually.
Pretty much this, I honestly don't care. The romance subplots have always been things that are nice to have but I never sweat em to hard even if I do like a certain character
