they will give us one more love interest and leave the other 3 for us to figure out... and they wont reveal orientation either
Do you think we will learn all the LI and their oriantations before the game launches?

No.
That'd be kinda stupid tbh.
Why? They already announced Cass and Cullen as LI's very early... I don't see why they wouldn't reveal the rest soon.

I'd prefer knowing first. I'm already at risk "broken heart" just knowing little if nothing about certain characters. At least I can mend my heart before playng the game.
and maybe knowing the romance I can even choose with wich character make my first run, since I still have doubt about starting with Elf, Dwarf or Qunari. ![]()

Saying as they already announced Cassandra and Cullen I'd be more than satisfied if they told us their orientation and then left us to find out about the rest of the LI's in-game.

I love spoilers. I find they add to my anticipation rather than detracting, so I certainly hope that they plan to reveal a little more about them. I'd be happy just knowing who is available, and leaving the orientations as something personal for the character to reveal/inquisitor to discover.
EDIT: detracting rather than distracting. Should not watch TV and type at the same time!

Honestly I hope not as it does add to the game finding out for yourself. Hell I had a news blackout for Mass Effect 2 and when I discovered in game you could romance Garrus my Femshep was all over that.

It'd be nice to find out who likes what before leaping into the game. While it might be fun finding out yourself, as others in this thread have said, it would suck to find a romance option you want only for it to be unavailable to your character.
I'd like to avoid a repeat of one of my first Origins playthroughs. My Mage turned down Zevran just so he could get his manly hands on Alistair, only to find out the cheese-loving dreamboat wasn't up for some man lovin'.

It really depends for me. If we can learn early on in the game what their preferences are, then I'll be fine with it but if not then I'd like to know their preferences before the game is launched so I don't waste a lot of time trying to romance a character.

for the folks that were here during the -prerelease of DA2, how did that go? were they being as secretive as they are now? :] maybe that's our answer...if they released romances before the game hit the shelf, then there's a good chance they'll do it this time around

Before DA2, they told use who the non-DLC love interests were on Valentine's Day. (It was just a couple of weeks before release day, so the timing was convenient.)
Curiously, they didn't tell us that they were all available to both genders, or spill the beans about Sebastian. We found out everyone was bi/playersexual from a German magazine article.

I would personally really like to know. I wouldn't call it a spoiler seeing as it doesn't reveal anything other than possibilities. We didn't exactly scream "Spoilers!" when we found out what all of our companions would look like, or when we found out we might run into the Warden or Hawke because we weren't given any story-specific details, and a character's orientation really wouldn't matter in terms of the overall story. It would, however, determine how some of us decide to play.
That being said, if neither Cassandra nor Sera end up being available for a F/F romance, then my Qunari inquisitor will end up forever alone.

Only wanna romance Cassandra, and i sincerely doubt she's gay, so i'm fine.

I hope so.
I don't want another situation like Mass Effect, where I spent most of the first game attempting to start a romance with Ashley. Then Jack in ME2. Then Ashley again in ME3 (since I'd heard Kaidan was a bi option in ME3, I'd hoped she was too). By the point I realised I couldn't in each game, I'd missed the opportunity to romance someone else.

God I hope not (there isn't bandwidth enough in the world to support the chatting and fawning of our resident obsessives, should Bioware decide to spill the beans)!

To the OP, probably, because Bioware is always very generous with information in the 48 hours before the game launches. Usually by that point, info is overflowing.

There will still be plenty of "fawning and whinging" if we find out after the game is released, though. Finding our beforehand would just spread it out a bit

With set sexuality, there is no way there will only be 4. That would literally be 1 choice per orientation.
I might be able to like this if each option got a treasure trove of content to make up for it.

So I was not the only one.
That conversation about "licking lampposts" had me utterly fooled.

meh, either way there are no desirable female romance options for a hetro male Inquisitor.
Not for your hetero male Inquisitor, maybe. And isn't this a slightly premature statement given that we know nothing at all about Scribbles - including her name - and almost nothing about Sera?
(I guess I can see dismissing Cassandra and Vivienne, since we know a bit more about them. I'd happily romance either of them on some second or subsequent play through, mind you.)

A part of me wishes to know because, ultimately, the true surprise for me will be my protagonist (the breath of her personality or her multi-layered character development). Nonetheless, knowing the sexual orientation of the Love Interest (LI) is only an indicator, for what’s really important during my playthrough with that LI is their reactions—how he/she reacts to my protagonist. Hence, it boils down to the depth of the romances and how that LI gets along with my Playable Character. In that regard, I am asking the Devs and Mr. Gaider to please give us at least an insight or hint of the Love Interests’ sexual orientations. In the previous instalments, romances were handled differently; each had a distinctive presentation. It would be a delight this time around if the Love Interest also starts a conversation with my Playable Character (PC) on his/her own instead of me initiating that conversation.
It would be ideal as well if in Dragon Age: Inquisition our Playable Characters could engage in conversations in the world with their Love Interests instead of going to their residences (Dragon Age: II) in order to speak with them. Having the same approach as in Dragon Age: Origins would be quite refreshing and a re-visit to an approach that is loved by many fans, and in Dragon Age: Inquisition, since the world will be a much larger one, this possibility of interacting with the Love Interests in the open world will not only be just right, it would make the journey quite worthwhile as we explore this wondrous world of Thedas with the Love Interests; discovering this multidimensional world along with them while we share and exchange thoughts on the current environment we are in would be a delicious treat.
What would also be nice is for that Love Interest on his or her own to come to our Playable Character and mentions something he or she has seen or something he or she has picked up along the way, which he or she would give, either shyly or proudly, to our Protagonist as a gift or a souvenir. Little gestures such as the aforementioned would further endear our Playable Characters to their Love Interests.
I am reiterating once more: Having our Love Interest commences a conversation on his or her own, sharing his or her thoughts with our Protagonist no matter what is happening, i.e., during encounters, Boss battles (for example: uttering a passing comment, a wink, a pat on the back, blowing a kiss to our Playable Characters), will not only be refreshing, but welcoming and endearing to our hearts; that would further cement our Protagonists' relationships with their LI's. In Dragon Age: Origins, it was wonderful to be able to stop anywhere to interact with the Love Interests. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, my hope is that it goes further and more in depth by adding the aforementioned little things to the romances options.
In conclusion, a part of me does wish to know. It heightens my interest in that Love Interest because I would have an idea of whom my Protagonist would be romancing. What I wouldn't know is how that Love Interest would react to my Playable character and what he would say to her. To me that's where the real surprise lies.
Devs, please, give us a hint. :-)

I suppose it is, but I'm only going by the knowledge I have, who knows Vivienne might be super funny. Cass will always look like a dude though
doesn't matter how funny she is.
Ya overall dudes are ugly, not sure why they even go outside to do activates, like pick up mushrooms. Mystery of the universe.
