Hope not, I don't want to know all of the story, relatioships possibilities before playing.  I'll save that for second and even third playthrough if necesary.

No one is forcing you to read spoilers, those that want to know can read about the companions while you shut your eyes and remain oblivious.

I am a  planner. I like to know ahead of time so I can plan out my character all the way down to who I am going to romance as a particular race. I had to stop half way through my first play playthrough of Origins because I was an elf mage and  I really really wanted to marry Alistair. I want most of the game to be a suprise but I like to have romance spoilers.

Considering they revealed all party members and others in that trailer ending...there is no point now to hide anything..tho if Sera is not LI , then that would be a rage worthy..

Considering that they stated that there'll be heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual romances it's impossible to have four LI.
Personally I don't really care to know which are the LI. I'm fine with whoever will be the straight/bisexual female LI.

Not really, since they can cover all types by making 2 hetero and 2 homosexual romances. There won't be bisexual characters but bisexual players get 4 options no matter what.

They didn't just say that the LI will have different sexualities. They stated that there'll some heterosexual, some homosexual and some bisexual. That would mean that there'll be both homosexual and bisexual LI.

They have also said that they want there to be choice.  You can't have choice if you go that route.  The minimum you can have if you want to have choice for all sexuality/gender combinations is 4 bisexual LI's.  The minimum you can have if you  want to have choice for all sexuality/gender combinations and still have some straight, bisexual, and gay LI's is 5 (2 bisexual LI's of one gender; 1 straight, 1 gay, and 1 bisexual LI of the other gender).

And yes, Mark said 'characters' but the in the interview the used mentioned Cameron talked about romances. I don't know if some devs confirmed here too.
Another reason for supporting more than 4 LI is the fact that Cullen is a LI. If there we are only 4 LI I don't see the reason to cut the number of the party ones.

I can't help but feel that people who are just assuming DAI will have 2/2/2 romances will be disappointed.

6 LIs seems like a lot to me. Sure people then point at ME3 but the reason ME3 had so many was that they had 3 games to gather all these possible LIs and they had to finish all their subplots in the last game. And just because DG mentioned once that his personal preference is for everyone to have choices doesn't mean they 100% did this. He's not the ultimate decision maker when it comes to these things.

ME2 had 6(7 counting Kelly), none of which were people who could be romanced in the previous game.

We believe that there'll be more than 4 LI because they stated there'll be different sexualities, that there'll be heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual LI and that people will still have choices. That's impossible to make with 4 LI.
And I assure you that there are a lot of people that believe there'll be six but prefer to have 4 bisexual LI. It's not just the one who want six LI that believe there'll be such.

Seems I've forgotten that :P but ME2 also had more companions...

Don't get me wrong, it could happen, I'll be thrilled if there's 6 LIs in DAI. I just think some people treat it as fact when it isn't.

Well, limited resources s a good reason to me. 6 is just way too many, maybe they'll give more romances through DLC. So 2 homosexual and 2 heterosexual romances now, and 2 bisexualromances later as DLC. That way, less resources taken from the main game, more options for people who play the games for these things and a little more money for Bioware to make on the side.

DAI has three advisors, one of which is a confirmed LI. 9 companions plus 3 advisors make 12 characters ;).

I think the 2/2/2 is likely given things and the fact they are making npcs a big part of the day to day running of the inquestion. Think what will disappoint most is the fact not all the followers you can take with you will be LIs.

Just my two bits.

I understand. but I don't see why they'd have taken the decision to make half of the LI non-companions with the 4 LI route, expecially because it means the staight male LI would be outside the party, and I don't think it's going to happen. And I really doubt they're going to release LI for dlc.
I understand your concern, but it's very likely that there'll be more than 4 LI in the game at release.

I don't have the link, but the devs have already said there will be no DLC companions, so I think we can probably rule out DLC romances.

There's no rule that LIs need to be companions. If they can carry the same romance content as everyone else, it doesn't matter if they're companions or not. It's not a concern of mine to be honest. There have always been 4 LIs in the games, and because I feel that they should continue to limit romance content to that number, I tend to veer towards it. Either way, we'll know when we know.

 .

It's not rule, and I don't really care, but I don't see why they'd change their approach if they're still having 4 LI.
The fact that DA always had 4 LI doesn't mean that they can't change the numbers. And I show you a tweet when they state there'll be both homosexual and bisexual characters. We'll see what Mark was referring to.

So long as there is a female Elf that my Male Elf can romance I really do not care what any of the other characters are in to.
