Can be set in the same universe. The same world is very unlikely.

Is this like the Pixar Theory, where all the Pixar films take place in the same universe hence all the Easter eggs?

We should not have made this bargain.
Sorry, couldn't help the Star Wars reference.
This fits perfectly

There's a greater possibility of Dragon Age and Mass Effect being in the same universe...there's a statue of an Ogre from DAO in Kasumi's DLC.
... maybe dragon age will become so popular that someone in the future sculpted an ogre and it became succesful

It certainly could be set in the same universe; same world even. However, it isn't likely and I believe the devs have confirmed that it isn't. I'd still love another Jade Empire game though.

Keep walkin' people. The forum has to hit the same beats on exact schedule or the dreaded Nu'Jchantru will be released and bringing eternal bad fan fiction upon us all.

I could have sworn that Bioware said somewhere that in the ME universe, Dragon Age was the most popular game series ever.

Jade Empire is a fictional representation of ancient China.

Not in any way that makes sense or doesn't feel like fanwank.

Jade Empire is a fictional representation of ancient China.
And dragon age is a fictional representation of Europe, and both societies never leave their respective continents...
Too bad that one westerner has colonial style weapons and armor, which would mean it would have to happen much further in the dragon age timeline

Pretty much this.
Its just something that some fans want and others don't want but joke about. Thankfully I don't think it is part of Bioware's plan. The Jade Empire, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect settings don't exist in the same universe. Nor should they.
