What prevents him from being a Prince and not hateful for Mages?
What prevents him from being a Priest and a zealot like Petrice?
That's really annoying..,i hope DAI will have better approval feature.

He's never like Petrice. He gives rivalry points if you do things that side with her methods. He's like no one really. Which is kind of Elthina's criticism of him. He can't make up his mind what he wants for himself.
If you're on the rivalry path for him, but side with mages, he thinks the Templars need to be punished for giving the Chantry a bad name. That might be what you're looking for?
