I might just have to get the PC versions for these games. I'd have to but an XBOX controller because I can't play shooters with a mouse.

Are there any mods for new, non-canon powers?

I don't know about "new" powers, but you can edit the game to use MP powers in SP. I would love to do a Sentinel with Annihilation Field in the SP campaign.

And I am always amazed at people who don't like games that nevertheless feel like the game is still worth the time to post on a board about the game. If you don't like it, dude, go find a game you do like and post on that board. I have found a tremendous amount of replay value in this game.

PC version doesn't use a controller. I do OK with a Logitech controller mapped to keystrokes.

The mods are what making the replay value for me better. Instead of the laughable star jar ending I get an actual ending with the MEHEM so the mods are making this game a lot better. Hell, even the Citadel DLC makes this game replay value higher. I ignore Mac's and Casey writing in the end and come up with better story.

Why thanks I like it too lol. Plus I get to get rid of the ugly dress that they gave female Shepard. They made her look like a striper in that dress.

Since I don't play on the pc, I can't enjoy the mods. I have enjoyed playing the game on ps3.

Here's a site that has all kinds of mods, some really cool, that folks might not be familiar with and may want to try.

Eh... MEHEM, though technically impressive, is of no interest to me.

I do understand someone else undertook the effort to strip every reference to an ongoing war out of the Citadel DLC so people could pretend it happens after the ending? It's actually impressive the lengths to which people will go to undo the ending, even now.

That is exactly what was done.

As for MEHEM, now there's a Harbinger addition to it!  With War Assets in action!

Ah, mister "completely missing the point" strikes. Heaven forbid that people who like Mass Effect but dislike some things ME3 did to it have their say. Only one opinion should be heard here!

I think he meant the people who claim ME3 is bad from start to finish, those guy literally still troll any thread defending the game to this day since its RELEASE! That pretty disturbing more than it is sad

But even I can admit it wasn't a perfect beast but I'd still be playing it right if I didn't trade for an XB1

Nope, still not a valid defence of that statement IMO. If people were claiming Mass Effect as a whole was a pile of rubbish right from the beginning I'd wonder why they bothered posting, but if they loved 1 and / or 2 and hated 3 then it's entirely understandable. I very much doubt it's trolling.

I find it very hard to face a replay of ME3, even though there's plenty of stuff I've not tried and would probably like to if the whole thing didn't end up feeling like a buildup to going to visit the dentist. I still post, I very occasionally push my third replay on a little, and I still play quite a lot of MP (without that I probably would've stopped altogether). I still love Mass Effect as a whole, enough to be bothered by things that spoil it. I even think ME3 has some pretty damn good parts to it.

I too find a great deal of replay value, and I don't understand the persistent negative posters. They seem compelled to endlessly decry the ending repeatedly and ad nauseum no matter what. *Shrug* It's their free time.

It's alright by me. Just shows people still care about the game, one way or another. I'm sure a lot of people felt the same way about those who came here and defended the game in the days and weeks after release.

This

that's one of the best jokes i've heard in quitte some time here on Bioware forums.

is trolling. It's not criticism, it's not discussion, and is just generally a waste of everyone's time.

I haven't got around to modding me3 yet, that's next on the list once I finish current me2 playthrough (so at this rate about next year).

And ignore or push aside the truth of things.

To OP:

ME3, even with it being the most directed/automated Mass Effect, is also the most varied in its details, by far. The journey may be the most same for players at the core, but the details themselves are to pretty damn impressive levels, as long as you don't factor in the ending discontentment and uniformity (at least before EC).

There's a lot to replay and see and experience. ME2 has less of that, outcomes of previous game choices etc, but a more satisfying ending for players. I can only hope that 'ME4' will have both good parts - a lot to replay and experience, but also a satisfying ending.

Still working on my ME1 PC run -_-.

Had HQ Mod on it but it was giving me issue so I said whatever to that.

ME2 will have HQ Mod but I dunno about custom stuff aside from that.

ME3 definitely will be modded to the hilt, at least with things that don't 'overwrite' (at least to my opinion) the experience of the game and story. For example, I may have Kaidan armor mods that give him better looking versions of existing armor, but I won't give him something entirely new.

I'm assuming (or at least hoping) that the next game is its own standalone story. With that, the writers can make the game vary in so many ways without worrying about what to carry over to a new game after that, right down to that protagonist.

This forum is kinda like the random MMO forum: full of people who pretend to have quit the game, but keep on posting about stuff for months...and in this case years.

Might even be worse than the random MMO forum.

It will be at least more standalone.. (unless they announce otherwise)

It will be a new protagonist..

But it will also be in the Mass Effect universe, for whatever that means...

I don't think the writers will be worrying as much about what to carry over, even if there ends up being a story file import. I think they're designing things specifically so that they don't have to worry about much about that, so they can focus on other things. Doesn't mean there will or will not be an import.

The import was one of Mass Effect's great strengths. The big, huge problem with it is that it wasn't a great idea when they were making the whole thing up as they went along. It shouldn't cause problems if it's all planned out from the start. To get a game where it still feels worthwhile and isn't just a bit of shading would still be hard work, but that's what I want to pay my money for, and the sort of thing that makes a game stand out.
