I have been wondering how many levels there will be for us to achieve. I would imagine it would be at least 50 to 60 judging by how large the game is. Iam hoping for at least 60 levels to shoot for. What do you guys think?
Player level cap.

How large a game is isn't necessarily tied to the level cap. But to answer your question, I'm expecting a Level 30 maximum for now. It all just depends, really.

Thats true, but it bugs me to be all maxed out when you still 50% or so left of the game to go. I still have to have that goal of improving my character as close to the game proggresion as possible or it just feels like something is missing to still shoot for other than just finishing the game.

Depends on alot of things. We won't know for a while.

I really doubt it'll be different in DA:I, as the earlier post says, something like level 30 (whether hard cap or realistically achievable cap) is more likely.

In DAO you could only hit the level cap very near the end (without exploits anyway)and in DA2 there was no cap you could realistically reach, dunno why you bring up being at level cap with 50% left to go.

I guess Iam just being influanced by skyrim and its cap of 81. And since DA:I is taking some cues from skyrim I assume the level cap would be similar. Just have to wait and see.

In DAO with dlc you can reach level 35 and in DA2 you can reach level 28(at least for me) so I'm sure the level cap in DAI would be some where in that range or higher

I love leveling up, so I hope that you can level up often and not reach the level cap. Spending points is just so satisfying to me, hahah
I hope the level cap is a lot higher since the game is huge. I hope there's also a way to level up a lot if you want to.

I remember hearing that DA:I was going to have a 200 level cap. But I don't have a source, so...

The level cap will be 100 I hope so but it may be 60.
Why would you want it to be lower? Especially if the areas are going to have enemies that don't automatically sink or raise to your pc's level.

Depends on if they go the DA:O/KoTOR1 route of having a level cap you could reach if you put your mind to it or the DA2/KoTOR2 route of just setting it so high that nobody can get to it without console commands but they can try. I hope for the latter.

I'm hoping its like Mass Effect 3 in that respect. I felt like ME3 encouraged players to play New Game plus. So, I'd like to see NG+ in Inquisition. I am under the impression there is the ability to explore the world after the story is over, but ME2 had that and a NG+, so the two aren't completely exclusive from one another.

Skyrim's a bad example since you could defeat everything by about level 45. So 36 levels are essentially pointless.

Let's be honest here... If the soft cap is +35 there will need to be a LOT of passive abilities. I'd rather not pause the game and cycle through the radial menu three or four times to use my ultimate abilities. That's just me though, And I'll be playing on the XBONE. PC people have it easier.

Could be like DA2 where a lot of the skill points went into upgrades to a skill you already bought.
And best/most frequently used abilities hot-key'd to the buttons. (PS3 player). ![]()

Well it doesn't matter how big a game is as long as xp scales properly to the game world. For instance, I think we'd cap out pretty quick (relatively) if it were the same as DA2 but with a 30 level cap. 30's fine if you make your build right, because after that point you shouldn't have a whole lot to put points in. (I guess maximizing your attributes is always fun, though.)
I do really like the number 50 when it comes to level caps though. Nice and even.

Varric's Chest Hair, that's pretty big!
Though I don't think it'd be reasonably possible to ever reach it.

With no knowledge of skill trees and even less about stat progression, we have very little foundation to base our speculation about level cap upon.

Supposedly DA:I is the first DA game where real level grinding is possible due to enemies respawning on the maps, so I'm sure someone would make it. ![]()

I hate low level caps and level caps in general. One of the reasons I've played Final Fantasy Lightning Returns six times through is Lightning effectively has no level cap you can just keep making her more powerful. It's just a delight to me that she can now wave her hand once and kill an enemy that before took an entire attack bar. I'd like to see the same for Inquisition. The ability to level my character as high as I want so long as I have the patience to do so.
Typically I'd like things to work like this. Experience point will come at such a rate that so long as you aren't constantly skipping fights and fight strategically you can play through the game without farming experience points. However, if you want to set back and harvest enemies until your character is a living goddess amongst mortals that should be your choice as well.
