Yeah, transitioning from a Metroidvania game to a more sandbox game was to the detriment of the Arkham series, I feel.
Is the release date bad timing on EA/Bioware's part?

So it seems Inquisitions 'biggest compeition' has been removed till next year. Though maybe not really their biggest compeition, but I am a little curious to see what the doom sayers will say next in terms of Inquisitions massive impending failure.
Unfortunately some people will look for anything to complain about when it comes to EA and then BioWare. Right now Origin has a bunch of games at 70% off and people complain that there isn't enough games on Origin to make the store worthwhile, forgetting that it took years for Steam to get its library to the size it is now.

Don't remind me. While it's not in the same bracket as DA:I it will command a lot of parents money.

... The idea that they will be buying Inquisition for their kids has hurt the series enough (looking at you "dark" and "sex" scenes [laughable]).Don't remind me. While it's not in the same bracket as DA:I it will command a lot of parents money.

And plus Origin is, sadly, dealing with one company. Besides I seem to remember the bad old days when steam was clunky and made computers crash and did all sorts of weird stuff. I was talking to a friend and apparently its much better, but I am not liable to give it another chance any time soon.

Funny, a game about killing dragons is competing with a game about being a dragon.

If people are buying DA I they should not be relying on thier parents to get it for them, and if they are they are probably way too old to care about Skylanders. Though I miss Spyro? Or were you joking? ![]()

I ... I don't think there's a lot of overlap between the Skylanders and Dragon Age fanbases.
BUT THAT WWE GAME IN LATE OCTOBER IS TOTES GONNA KILL INQUISITION YO

Other way around. Parents prioritise their children when it comes to spending.

Do people only ever buy one game at a time during a relase date dump? And then never go back and buy the other titles they were interested in later and didn't buy at that time?

Or they hold out on buying games for their kids until Christmas.

I know, it's like Christmas isn't 2 months away from the release date.
I'm getting Assassin's Creed: Unity and Inquisition, and maybe Shadow of Mordor depending on how well the marketing team does.

Haha, parents used to get so upset when Christmas would roll around. I'd hear them ranting as they frantically searched the store for gifts "I just bought all these games a few weeks ago, now what do I get them?!"
We'd have hundreds of people at midnight releases for games like Skyrim and CoD and I'd estimate 15-20% were parents buying for their children, so never underestimate what a parent is willing to spend or do for their children ![]()

Biggest thing is....they LOVE Batman. The gameplay is too much the same and they lost interest. Ten people not getting Batman. None want the racers, and they sure never play LoTR games.
Inquisition is by itself in my area of circle.

I never forgave Steam for requiring a huge download to make HL2 run. Huge by dial-up standards, that is.
