Stop spamming that ****ing recon mine....
Every single time...
Just because you can wipe packs at  bronze, does not mean it will do the same on silver or gold, OR platinum.
Use this mine as it should be used. To scan enemies and help you team with the buffs that you've specced for this ability.
Spamming it is annoying, and most of the time, the smoke from the damn thing messes up the FOV. I cannot stress how many times I had to escape from sticky situations, just because some Recon mine guy decides to blow it up bellow me, covering everything in smoke.
Then when to detonate? Simple, for finishing them off and not before that. Bowing a Recon Mine for a healthy banshee on Gold won't do a thing...

It's ability to stagger enemies (up to and including Gold Dragoons, maybe more)  in a decent radius should not be ignored.

I spam the hell out of it.. with a power amp IV and a pistol/SMG power magnifyer.. The damage is just too good not to. But only on the Drell.. I don't use it that way on the Volus.

I will replace my debuff whenever I feel like I need to. It's not my problem that you are wandering around empty spawn/single banshee I have no interest in. (Most of those "banshee detonations" are probably simple replacement). I don't care about damage the mine deals.

 

I will not use RM only in one case: if you kindly ask me and wouldn't use any screen-shaking powers or weapons in turn (I'll probably just bail out of lobby in the case though).

I like Invasive Scan on Recon Mine, cloak and then Homing Grenade. It dishes out lovely damage. This by using the Drell Infiltrator.
With Volus it is good way of support as both FOV is provided with Recon Mine and eventual Shield Regeneration, based uppon the build one has made.


I don't wanna judge anyone by the post he/she left. If by any means this boost your "virtual ego" and "self esteem", by any pun and "joke" available, it be interesting to see far can it go.
For me it is simply testament of the quality this foum has.

Sounds like you are just pissed off at people spamming a power and beating your score, thus decreasing your epeen. We have a lot of those powers that require no "skill" whatsoever to use but that you will almost always take top score with if you spam them. Snap Freeze, Recon Mine, Cain Mine, Flamer etc.

Kocka, IxMerc and myself played PUG lottery.. and this dude came in with a Drell Assassin with an Incisor/ Drill ammo.. it was like a Michael Bay movie. Enemies barely ever made it out of the spawns.

Indifferent.

It's pug lottery man.. you don't have a choice. What I did find out is that the Incisor is pretty decent on the DAI.. even with power passives.

I've always liked the Incisor actually, it's not as bad as most people seem to think.

Score is not the problem here. I don't really care where or when he will detonte the mine. If he could leave it so the rest of us can benefit from the scan, it would even more good. If he really wants to detonation after detonation, the let it be that way, as long as I or someone else is not near or over the mine, since the effect is smoke screen with no FOV. You are sitting duck for a few moments and it is not pleasent.
 

Dunno why all went mad, and I'm sure didn't even bother reading the OP. Just poke fun and be "original" for the sake of it.

I don't see the problem. Sure it can be annoying if it limits your sight for a second, but it is not going to have any effect on your gameplay really. Well, unless you're a Bronze player trying to farm Platinum like a pro.
