Since the game is coming to 360/PS3, it's safe to say DX9/10 support is possible. But then again, it's entirely up to the developer.

Also Tropico 5, Titanfall, COD:G, Crysis 3, Strider, and ME:SOM - which ironically comes out the same day as DAI lol.

With no DX9 support DAI will be the game that finally makes me move away from Windows XP.....or more likely i'll just install a second OS to use for gaming and keep XP for everything else

I hope DAI will support DX9/10 and not just exclusively DX11 like most new games now.
Why? No sarcasm, just curious.

I'm not saying to remove DX11 features, just add DX9/10 in the graphic options for the old GPUs. (like in DA2)

DX9/10/11 and Soon 12, with brand new GPU's built around it that will cost 500 dollars.
Tell me again how PC doesn't have "Hardware Cycles" just like consoles?
Anyway, I think if you're running a GPU that isn't DX11 compatible at this point, the actual version of DirectX is the least of your concerns, the graphics card alone may be critically insufficient to render the game at a playable framerate. Even on hyperlow.

This is my concern too after hearing the devs talk about how amazing the game will look--not so much about a version of DX but more 'will I even be able to run it'. I've been able to run DA:O, DA2 and all 3 ME games without a problem but then again I've never been able to run Assassin's Creed 2 and Saints Row 4 required a low specs pack so I'm just not sure.

Honestly, DX11 was announced in 2008, widely deployed by late 2009 (last platform update for Vista). Even allowing for some time for hardware to catch up, if you're not on DX11 capable hardware by now, you should consider if PC gaming is for you or if you should jump on the console wagon.
I know this sounds harsh, but one of the major advantages of PC gaming is the ability to do incremental upgrades. If you're going to ignore that, why not go for the more consistent (hardware-wise) console experience? It's not like all DX11 cards are super expensive monstrosities. Something like a GTX 750 can be had for less than 150 dollars and is a very solid performer if you're not looking for mega resolutions and full detail, which if this is a concern, you obviously aren't.
Before anyone breaks out the Master Race card: Hello, I'm a platform-agnostic gamer who plays on PC, 360 and PS3 (and the occasional Dreamcast) while waiting for enough interesting exclusives to come out to get a PS4 and Xbox One as well. Despite what the internet's endless stream of platform wars would have you believe, we exist.

Then DX11 really isn't your problem.

Keep your older computer for older games and save up for a newer computer for newer games. I'm thinking about getting a $200 wally world special for my old games and put windows pro on it for the XP games.

It is if the game is DX11 only lol,i don't mind playing on lowest settings as long as the game runs.
Who says it'll run on your hardware even if it didn't require DX11? You still haven't said what you've got, but I can't think of too many 6-year-old non-DX11 rigs that would have a chance of running the game.
