I believe I can answer this JTerek88:

In order to install the Harby mod with the installer, you need to have the unaltered version of MEHEM v0.4.

So the correct procedure for using the installer is:

1. Make sure you have a vanilla ME3 game

2. Install MEHEM v0.4

3. Use the Harby hotfix

4. Use the Harby installer

5. Install any additional material like JohnP's Anderson convo and/or additional LIs, CEM, etc.

Note: depending when and how you install stuff in step 5, you may need t run the TOC.bin Updater for the main game and/or DLC (this can't hurt in any case).

 

I believe IHJ had planned to also provide files for a manual install at some point. With the manual files, you could then install the Harby module manually after other MEHEM mods as well. But that's up to IHJ

 

IMPORTANT: If you want to run texture mods, you need to install all content mods BEFORE running the tree scan. This includes all of the steps described above.

 

@General topic: I am very glad that this is finally out. I am afraid this got stuck on my end for quite some time before I got around to finish my part on it (sorry 'bout that). I think IHJ did a really good job on depicting the scope of the battle in his videos and I am also very happy that we managed to make this mod be reactive to all the different war assets you can gather. Now you will actually see the Hanar/Volus/Batarians/Rachni/Geth/Quarians/Mercenaries but only if you did recruit them earlier and kept them alive throughout the game. Personally, I think that was something the final battle needed.

Also, we had a bit of fun with all the ship captains that are reporting in. :)

Well since I have to have vanilla game I guess it will be a lil bit before I try this. Just another excuse to start all over again I suppose. lol  ^_^

Is the Harbinger mod (HB) compatible with the Thane mod? If so would you install HB directly after MEHEM and before doing a ME3Explorer treescan and then installing the Thane mod or after installing the Thane mod and having done a treescan?

Uh, thats beyond my knowledge.

 

The correct order to make it work is

-Clean installation

-MEHEM 0.4

-Hotfix (if required)

-Harbinger Addin

-Other mods.

 

I've read about treescan, but I'm not sure what it is. I'm afraid my knowdledge is very limited in this area. I can ask on the dev threads for you, if you want.

Just had a look at it. Hell of a job, even with the reusage of footage from prior games here and there. Maybe have somewhat smoother movement for the Reaper-trio, if possible.

 

By and large I agree with 'face. Although I do appreciate some other accents in play for the voice-over other than General American. Do iron out the the intonation - Capitan should sound more forceful, no? - and volume and it is set. Except one thing, maybe: I'd think keeping the big, ol' Harbinger in check is enough of an objective for the portions of the fleet involved with this. No need to invoke Shepard, as I imagine some may view this as a tad bit too Shepard-centric here. Besides, that is the SSV Nürnberg's part to play, isn't it.

 

The battle as a whole seemed fine to me. Seeing new scenes in play for some of the cockpit-scenes as well as the evacuation of the cruiser would do as well, however.

 

 

At any rate, terrific initial release, do keep it up.

Sorry if someone has already put this but i am getting error saying default.sfar is not correct when I try to run hotfix. And if I try w/o hotfix I get the error: Biogam_ESN.tlk not correct. It is a vanilla install with the mehem installed.

Can you please run the Integrity Checker and paste here the results?

 

Some people does not have to install the hotfix because for some reason, sometimes the file size is correct. Mine was, for example.

 

So, is possible you don't need the hotfix :)

Afterwards, I'll do a release without this file check in particular, ok?

 

Putting in the translated file should fix the problem.

Well, is possible to install it manually, but I'm compiling a patch for you. Give me some hours (not to compile but upload) and you should have it working. The bad stuff is that I can figure out (I removed the check) but I can't test it as I don't have your version.

After a long hiatus, I come back.

 

Sorry for dissapearing, RL come in my way and I've been horribly busy.

 

I wanted you to know that after some conversations, We'll probably move the installer to a newer version. Both Deager and MrFob suggested me to do so, as the new installing system is pretty easier than the current.

 

It will take a while, but I hope that will solve the most part of the problems we've had.

 

On the other side... The video has now subtitles, both spanish and english!

 

If anyone wants it with another language subtitles, please ask me for the SRT, and you'll be credited for the translation, of course!

 

That is more, my plan involve to add the subtitles to the Harbinger ingame video. That means, that any translation could be included as subtitles ingame.

Hello and Good Evening!
First, i wanna thank you for your hard and awesome Work IHJ! I already made some Suggestions about MEHEM,its Modules and Structure as a whole and discussed it a bit with Fob, so i'll link it here: http://forum.bioware...9#entry17597294

Now, what does this have to do with your part?
In the grand Scheme of Things, my additions would just improve the Harbinger Module with 2 more scenes and i hope you'll mind to integrate them.
Before we get started i have to say the following: Yes, i am NOT just speculating and theorizing what could be made of the whole Project. Sadly, due to current time limitations on my side it will take a few weeks till i can start to work (for example making/helping with the leviathan model); However, i hope you suggest the Following:

1.OMEGA FLEET WAR ASSET
Although it is already in (even with the famous "Dont **** with Aria") i think it would be better to show a bit more of the Omega Fleet, which can be done by extracting the different ships from the DLC and implement them, just to have a better perspective at that point :)

2. LEVIATHAN WAR ASSET
Heres comes the only real new Addition: Making a scene where you can see the Leviathans (if you played and solved the DLC, of course^^).
As i suggested in the Main Project Thread, the best Idea would probably be to show 3 Leviathans in Space (a bit behind the Line of the actual Battle) which are saying "We are the Apex Race, OBEY US!", killing 3 Reapers which are falling down to earth right into the pacific ocean.

I know what you're gonna say: Well, nice Idea but for the 2nd Point we need a Model.
If no1 made it yet, i could do this (either alone or with a friend of mine) and provide it for the Task!
Or, if you already thought of implementing them i could help create and improve the needed Models :)

Fob said he would like to show more War Assets.
While this is always a good Idea, i think its already fine except the 2 Points mentioned above, which are the only "big" essential Assets missing (in case of omega fleet, not shown entirely) cause it isnt really feasible and necessary to show hundreds of Assets, just the important ones and we're good to go.
In Fact, we already have most of them shown, especially within your Harbinger Module!

I hope you had fun reading it and suggest these points.
As i said, if you have problems concerning a possible leviathan model i can help! It just takes time till i can get really involved in it and if the time comes i will be in the me3explorer forums mainly :D

I will conclude with the following: I think i have some pretty awesome Ideas, even at a larger scale, bringing structure in my pattern for the Project.
Anyways, for now it would "just" be this to improve the Harbinger Module, a bit like my Idea for CEM (Citadel Epilogue Module) -> http://forum.bioware.../#entry15323839
to add a Dialogue with Hackett where you will be able to Rename London (for example into Anderson) :D

I also mention CEM and MEHEM cause alll these "Mods" are connected and intertwined with each other to build a greater Network then anyone could have imagined back in the days of Release. Why? To create something New, something Different.

ps: Concerning subtitles, i could give you one or two more translations: german and maybe french (dont know about the second, its been a while^^ i learned it like latin/espagnol but its not my main language lol xD)

Ok, lets start again.

 

First, thanks for asking. Let me divide my answer in parts.

 

To be done, first of all:

 

-See if we can add subtitles. Important, as now we have none.

-Make the installer.

-Further changes.

 

I haven't had time to check, but this is my goal list. I plan to at least use one day a week to see this, because if I don't make a reserve of time, I won't do it xD

 

Second, about what you say.

 

-Is  possible to do it if we have enough music track. We are limited by the music, as the tracks dictate the video's lenght.

-In addition, we should see we have enough resources: models, textures, UDK effects, and sound effects. I suppose we have, so it "shouldn't" be a problem. As is your idea, would be nice if you make the voice for the Omega Fleet scene as "Omega ships closing in, Aria. Let's do this!" or something like that. Once we have the max track lenght, we can decide voices.

-I don't currently have any Omega's additional fleet sources, nor Lev's. The "omega" fleet you see, is just a Cerberus ship with another skin I made manually for a 3 sec scene. Would be crappy in a larger one.

-But to be honest, I would need help. The video was incredible time-consuming, and I have to see again how to compile and do everything, as I barely remember anything right now. Yeah, as soon as I start again, it will come back to my memory, but any help would be welcomed.

-Take a look at the credits, I needed a ton of help in several areas, as is impossible to handle everything.

-Some of my edition programs are gone, as my laptop died. It would take a while to have them back.

 

Third and last, would be nice to add, the alternate Harbinger scene suggested by Creapsmantic, if possible. Alone, one scene is horrid to be done. Lots of work for a little benefit. Three of them, is a very different thing.

-The Reaper survives if you fail.

 

But, that would lie in MrFobs end, as I did not make the integration of the module.

 

If he agrees and has time to add the scenes, I can probably make them. Not in a near future, but along some months, step by step.

 

If I see my time is consuming enough to collapse things (yeah, I'm getting old and RL consumes more and more of my free time xD) I can upload everything I have ant let someone else to take the baton. My project was always free and for everyone, so as the old credits/VAs remain unchanged, everything can be improved by anyone who wants to make it.

Does this mod still function properly under MEHEM 0.5, or does it need another update?
