Don't Shockwave spam. Ever.

 

I don't know what's worse, the WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB all game long, or the fact that I feel like I'm in the middle of a large 20 min earthquake and cannot snipe anything.

I am pretty sure I got booted after a recent match for shockwave spamming, it was for the challenge points.....honest!

Don't forget to turn on Tech Armor, Barrier, Annihilation Field, Fortification, Bloodlust or Hunter Mode. I've been very guilty of this, myself, in the past.

Fun part is that if it was Novaguard, they would probably get slammed for constant nova-charge yelling and "killstealing".

Don't forget to turn on Tech Armor, Barrier, Annihilation Field, Fortification, Bloodlust or Hunter Mode. I've been very guilty of this, myself, in the past. 

 

I notice that if I spawn in clean and calm with everyone at the start of the game, I run through my little checklist: Tech armor (etc) on, correct gun in my hands. But if I spawn into a GiP and I'm being shot at, I react and then often forget the checklist until a couple of waves later.

 

So yeah, forgetting to turn on your armor powers/modes, don't do that.

Don't stand right next to another player, if possible; it invites trouble via AOE attacks.

 

Don't be *too* heroic.  Letting somebody bleed out may be necessary to save a wave.  Trying to hold ground against nastiest enemies early in a wave => just causes replacements to spawn if you kill them while the wave budget is still high.

 

Don't be too stingy with rockets, if you're in trouble.  Caught in a bad position?  Spending one rocket to get some breathing space beats expending more gels and ops while being stunlocked by Geth.   You can't heal yourself with spare rockets if you become too low on ops packs, after all.

 

Don't be the guy who bleeds out because you can't be bothered to ever use consumables even as you expect your rescuers to enter an obvious killzone within line of sight of multiple spawns to save you from your own recklessness.

Haha, I remember this one time where I spawned in and I was getting shot at right away. I was playing the Vanilla Human Sentinel, and I went to work right away, spamming Warp/Throw combos left and right. It was only during the wave 6 objective that I noticed, I was getting dropped a lot quicker - and I guess my combos were a lot faster, too - and then I noticed the lack of Tech Armor.

I've done pretty much exactly that, the recognition of your recollection is very strong.

I'm usually pretty good about remembering my turn-on-and-keep-on powers, but Fortification slips by sometimes...it's pretty easy for me to miss the hexagonal pattern on my Geth Trooper.

Also whenever I shut off Hydra Missile Launcher to avoid bubbling up Praetorians, it's not unlikely that I'll forget about it until the next wave or so.
