Only watched the first season in full and have seen bits and pieces of the other seasons over the year. The whole angel stuff left me feeling a bit cold but it's kinda cool that they've explored it since it's not something that really gets taken on often.

Stops talking about the levuathens. It was bad + bad x seeing your grandmother naked.
With that said, I did (as much as I hated to see him go) Bobs death. The whole fighting the reaper and everything plus Felicia Days inclusion.
Oh and if you go back to the larp episode with her (think its season 8) when Sam walks into the tech tent DA2 Talis is right there as clear as day.
Also on the whole fans writing things deal. What is with the delusion that fans can somehow automatically be better and I am not a fan of fanfiction or interested in seaing Sam and Dean make up sex after everytime they fight. Which is far to often anyway.

...Castiel-God And the leviathans...
Castiel and the Leviathans should be a band.
It seemed like their actual idea was a "what if monsters weren't complete morons, and instead thought like people but had superpowers?".
Of course, the whole problem was that when that's true, there's only one answer: humans go extinct, because they're just a non-superpowered version of the villain.
This is a problem I have with a lot of modern horror. The old fairy tales did it right. Monsters are supposed to be cautionary tales about not inviting evil into your home, being afraid of the night, not dealing with strangers, etc. Monsters are supposed to have limits and have to hide in the dark and out of the light even though they are powerful, only the foolish fall prey. When you take away their weaknesses, give them human ambitions and fall in love with them, they kinda become pointless since they're just better humans.

I thought the idea was to narrow it down to lore nuts like me that wouldn't let them mess with their own mythology. Also on the whole fans writing things deal. Well that's the mistake as I see it. Not to be rude but fans are just as able to make mistakes as the writers/creators. Even more the content creators are the ones there that made it in the first place but a fan is going to want to take it to where they want it to be.
I just don't think most fans can detach themselves enough.
Also there was that spinoff talk and man I was hoping it was going to be the Men (people) of Letters when they hit the bunker.

Certainly they can make mistakes, but some mistakes... Honestly, what longtime fan of the series would have mistaken Tessa for an angel? One of the things that drives me nuts about the writers for this show is how willing they seem to be to break, knowingly or not, the mythology already in place.Well that's the mistake as I see it. I'm not a professional, but I do write in my free time. I've gotten past writing for sheer wish fulfillment and understand the need for some detachment, but you're right, that's probably expecting too much of the general fan base.

Actually, I think this has been a problem with the approach to monsters in general in recent seasons of Supernatural. Increasingly they've been little more than humans with superpowers rather than true predators (A huge reason why Bloodlines was aweful). Monsters need to be inhuman in mind as well as in body. Otherwise it's just another stupid vampire teen drama.Castiel and the Leviathans should be a band.

Heck, the writers even seem to have forgotten that demon hosts and angel vessels continue existing after they're possessed. Or worse, that angels and demons are distinct from their hosts. When was the last time Sam or Dean bothered to even attempt an exorcism?

For a time.
Castiel's vessel, Jimmy Novac, is gone for good. ( which is why Castiel became a human when his grace was stolen, instead of Jimmy being ''freed'' )
Castiel was destroyed so many times there's no way in hell he's still possessing that body. It simply is his appearance.

I'm with all of you guys, the constant fighting between Sam and Dean has gotten old, died, crawled out of its grave, and died again. However I'm curious to see who do side with most of the time? I'm usually with Dean.

Would've preferred to see Charlie and Dorothy in Oz. 2 girls instead of 2 Guys, Geek girl and Huntress working out how to work together. Seemed like a ready made setup. Also more likable characters than Bloodlines.

Well, according to Castiel his true form is about the size of the Chrysler Building. I'm willing to accept that Jimmy's gotten a well deserved vacation in heaven and Castiel is inhabiting, and has been resurrected within, his soulless body, but I was thinking more about the way other angels and demons have been handled. In particular, the writers have made Sam and Dean increasingly cavalier about killing demons inside their hosts. For a time.

And, especially when it comes to other Angels, the writers seem to give the impression that walking around in vessels is the norm for angels, even to the point of treating their vessel's body's as their own, rather than their celestial forms.

Why?
Felicia Day can't act to save her life.
I get that she has a big fanbase, but she isn't an actress.

Adventures in Oz might be a little too fairytale-ish for Supernatural, but I too would have liked to see that team up.Would've preferred to see Charlie and Dorothy in Oz. 2 girls instead of 2 Guys, Geek girl and Huntress working out how to work together. If they do a spinoff in the future, they need to keep the focus on hunting rather than that whole monster drama they went for in bloodlines.

Anyway, I wouldn't say no to having her star in a spinoff miniseries. I liked her character.

Occasionally Sam has some valid points (Like Dean's dependancy) but most of the time I side with Dean or just roll my eyes at the whole thing.I'm with all of you guys, the constant fighting between Sam and Dean has gotten old, died, crawled out of its grave, and died again. I really don't like her super perfect cute quirky characters that totally save the day no matter what whenever she's around. That's probably less annoying when she's actually the protagonist, but still.
