Aloha Nui Loa Bioware forumites!

At the moment, I'm sitting in the tiny, rather poorly lit corner of the oldest lab on campus which is allotted to us lowly grad students who are not (yet) doctoral candidates, waiting for the off-chance that one of my peers will finish early enough for me to get a little work done on my own thesis.  The new policy (which makes absolutely zero sense) forbids me to play games, watch a movie, TV show, or video, or to wear personal headphones which may, somehow, prevent me from hearing the bazillion-decibel fire alarm in the event of an emergency.  Needless to say- I am incredibly bored right now.

Happily, the new injunctions against fun issued by a totalitarian and oppressive regime rules set forth by the dean do not forbid me from posting on the Bioware forum.

So here's my question:  Are any of you being forced to endure something that just freakin' sucks! right now?  If you are, what is it?

*EDIT: I just tried to click over to The Escapist to read a few articles and check out the forums there, and it's blocked!  So is Penny Arcade!??!  Arrgghhhh!  This also sucks!  and makes me wonder why Bioware hasn't been lumped into the roundup.

In my last position I was making some good money while doing mundane websites and web services. The position did not interest me and  I left my position to look for some C/C++ programming jobs.

One thing that sucks thats current in my life right now: A 150 question test in the last week of school and the fact I am graduating the same week. That test can burn!!! I really don't care about school anymore. 12 years of this and the best part: its ending soon!!!

Driving: I mean what's the point of being in constant anxiety that someone might hit you or you might hit a car, a human or an animal just to tell others I drive here by myself?

Stock Exchange (Burse): It's hardly about investing on a factory or a company. It's mindless exchange of money based on -x% or +x%.

That thing about the octopus is close enough to real world encounter I had btw.

Visited a Sea Life aquarium with a school class as kid once and came across an actopus aquarium and the tour guide dared us too feed it (of course it was a trained octopus that wouldn't bite our fingers off so it was save, but do you think a thirteen year old thinks that way after having seen a small movie about giant squids just two minutes earlier?).

Unfortunately, I had lost a bet earlier and that ******* of a friend thought collecting his favour right then would be funny. So I had to do the deed.

Turns out that octopus was either very, very lonely, or liked me very, very much. After having had snatched the snack from my fingers before I even got my hands wet (hungry little fella!), he held on to me. And held, and held. The guide tried to distract him with more snacks so he'd let me go, but turns out it's easy to grab food AND hold a young teenager if you have eight arms. They literally had to pry that one from me. I had hickeys for WEEKS!

   I have quite a few friends who are PADI certified (scuba) here on Oahu, and a few of them have had funny encounters w/ fish and honu, but I've never heard of one attracting an amorous and clingy squid.  With friends like that, who needs enemies, eh?

I know, right? When I went there to get a release notarized, I had to wait for the banker to adjust the "privacy shield" in his record book. I don't care who has been getting their documents notarized at that bank before me, why would I be looking?

Well, it beats walking. As someone who lives in NYC, every once in a while I'd agree with you but I still try to enjoy driving my cars as much as I could. Like taking my "nicer" car out to a nice rural winding back road on weekends.

S*** happens, so just enjoy your ride while you still can and stop worrying.

Drive the American Way.

Which is needlessly to say, drive a tank. Tanks always have right of way and anyone who ignores that rule does so at his own peril and usual ends on the downside of your treads.

Old (from 1931 in fact) and fake/transmuted, but classy. I remember spilling my drink when I read it four years ago.

He's attempting to pull upon your bindings in order to get such a response to rise from you.

Why not just say "he's yanking your chain"?

Because.

Well, obviously, but why?

Also, I feel like I missed a prime opportunity for a good "your mom" joke in there somewhere.
