Hi all,

 

I'm wondering if it is possible to begin a romance with Liara during Lair of the Shadow Broker if you have not previously romanced her. I'm hoping to romance Ashley in ME1, then Miranda in ME2 but start a flirtation with Liara during the Shadow Broker DLC and her visit to the Normandy afterwards, then romance Liara in ME3. I'm wondering what's the best way to do this. 

 

I guess a broader more general way to word the question would also be: can you romance Liara if you didn't in the first game, and if so, starting when?

You can be very nice to her but no real flirtation going on as far as I can tell, but you can give her a hug if not romanced before, which is still pretty nice I think.

 

And you can romance her in ME3, you'll have a rather interesting shepard who romanced Ashley Miranda and Liara in all 3 games, I've not seen many people who do that.

I've never romanced Liara in ME3 before, just in ME1. I've usually been a "Mirimancer" as far as the whole trilogy goes but I want to try something different with this playthrough. I was thinking Ashley in ME1, then it goes sour during ME2 when she gets all haughty about Cerberus, so he gets caught up with Miranda but eventually realizes that Liara is the one for him (since she saved his life and all). 

 

Can't wait to see how the Citadel party turns out

Probably won't make a difference. Like EDI says: That was a joke.

You cannot initiate a romance with Liara in ME2, period. The best you can do is continue a romance from ME1 if you have LotSB. You can, however, start a romance with her in ME3.
