I own the Standard version of Mass Effect 2 but this morning I started up Origin and it downloaded an update, when I checked what it was it turned out to be the Collector's Weapon and armour DLC from the collector's Edition. I started the game up and sure enough it was there.
This happen to anyone else?

Uh, Bioware has a secret santa? It would be pretty sweet if Bioware released all ME pre-order and promotional DLC the way they did for the Dragon Age games a while back.
Yeah I noticed it as well, I don't want to sound greedy but I hope the Terminus pack will be released as well \o/
I am on xbox. I just fired up ME2. I did not get an update. I did notice, however, that in the downloadable content area from the main menu the Cerberus Network download that used to be at the top of the list is now gone. So something changed.
Didn't get an update with the Digital Deluxe but Pinnacle Station did show up when I added Mass Effect to Origin a few weeks back. I thought it was odd at the time but now I'm starting to wonder.
I just went to the BSN registered game content page, and now the collector pack has been added to my list of owned content for PC and xbox..

Well it didn't take mine for the longest time but I saw something in the ME3 Scuttlebutt section about it working now and tried it and it worked. Don't know if I just got lucky or something. I did have the digital download though.

Did you already have ME2 registered? If so, did you un-register it and then re-register it? I just went to the page and it says ME2 for xbox registered. Nothing about a collectors edition. My only option is to unregister it.

To bad this stuff only shows on the old BSN, the new only displays the owned games.

Yeah i had my game registered there for a long time. I have the boxed pc version for ME2, so this is where i download all my DLC from. It just lists all the individual DLC packs I own and this one just appeared as owned on here for pc and xbox, even though i dont own an xbox copy of the game. Space magic i guess.
The pack appears for both. So does the Incisor code that comes with the CE/DD and the Blood Dragon Armor. Just the way it was coded.
what if have trilogy on 360 and cant register your game. can still get the packs?

Hopefully this installs with the steam version. Not interested in integrating the game into Origin.

Yeah that is how it worked with all the DLC back in the day.

I downloaded the exe from my "registered game content" page, then I just put it in the Mass Effect 2 directory and ran it. Not sure if you actually have to move it or not, that is how I installed all of the DLC before though.
Haven't actually opened the game to test it, but since it put the stuff in the correct DLC directories, I imagine it installed correctly.

That and Gamestop armor for ME3. It was such a nice surprise to see Collector stuff in my registered content. These are years-old tiny DLCs, surely no harm done unlocking them now
Yep. Cerberus Network is free now too.
When you redeem it, it will give you access to Collectors Weapon and Armour.
Off topic, but the Dragon Age DLC: The Stone Prisioner and the Black Emporium(for DAII) are also free now

If you wanna see Dragon Age too, go to the Dragon Age DLC menu.

That actually happned to me too. But, if you have a ME that is bought originally from somewhere else that isn't Origin, you can't register it, because Origin only allows code registring for games that have been released in the time span since 2009(or 2010). So ME won't register, because it's a 2007 game.
