I know a lot of work went into that website. It looks like a ton of money and time was dumped into it.

But it's awful. Everything loads slow, moves slow, and is a general beast to navigate. When it actually works, it's very pretty.

But I think fans (especially potential new fans, who are unfamiliar with Dragon Age), would much rather have a functional website that presents the information in a clear manner and behaves itself. I can see people being turned off just from the website alone.

Please consider paring it down, and making it smoother and simpler.

Are you talking about the forum website, or the DA website? Just out of curiosity.

Yeah, it's the modern bells and whistles website. You're expected to have a fast connection. I remember when making a website small was considered a good thing. I'd prefer to just get the info I want and leave than engage in an "interactive experience", but that's the fashion now.

at least give us the option to have both iterative and non

so people with slow internet can still get the information they need

You're forgetting the main thing - if you mess with the URL and get a 404, if gives you a cute message.

I agree.  At the least, a simpler option would be nice

Is the website a good place to go to get information? I haven't even really messed around on it - does it include anything outside of the release date?

Jimmy, yeah. It's got tons of lore info, timelines, maps, and all kinds of stuff. Good luck navigating to it, though.  :?

More complex, the better. No need to dump it down.

How fast a connection does the site expect, anyway? Runs fine here, but I've got pretty good internet.

Yeah, I'm slightly confused myself. I've got great internet speed, but the site takes a fairly noticeable time to load. It's pretty once it does, but that load time has me scratchin my head. Also.....waiting for that "256K INTERNET SPEED" guy to show up in this thread lol

I've only got 7meg an the site loads much the same as any other. Neither faster nor slower

I also like the look of it, the layout an find it pretty easy to navigate

Website is about the same as anything else, you will never please everyone

I can view the site on my tablet. It loads albeit slowly but only the middle of the screen actually has useful information and the rest of the site it is taken up by a bar at the top and the bottom of your screen. This is not an issue on a computer but I do feel it is on a tablet or on phones. I feel the site is too much about the bells and whistles.

Website works fine for more. Maybe it's just folks with slow internet struggling.

Maybe it's browser related? I just checked and the website works fine with firefox but with IE it loads really slowly.

Not working with Safari is Bio's problem, not the user's. If they don't want to write for Safari the least they could do is have the site fail nicely instead of crashing the browser after a minute of futzing around.

I don't give a damn myself since I use Chrome most of the time anyway.

They don't have to support every single browser (although the more it works on the better).  And there are many reasons why it could be the fault of the browser for not being able to properly load a specific webpage, a bug with how they load HTML5, a memory leak etc; those aren't the responsibility of Bioware to find those errors.  I don't expect to be able to load flash anymore on my mobile devices b/c it isn't supported for mobile, that is not the developers fault, it was flash's fault.

My comment was to determine if there was a problem with that specific browser or if they couldn't load it at all on that device since default browsers on many devices are frankly crap that can't even load mobile versions of sites correctly (I'm looking at you "Internet" on my smart phone)
