Adept. LIFT

Someone falling to their death? Lift.

Want your cup of coffee but to lazt yo get up? LIFT

Enemies behind cover? LIFT

Enemies Behind cover? LIFT the cover away.

Bomb about to explode? LIFT! or throw

Need to get to the higher shelf in the store? LIFT!

Put a twist on the stereotypical wedding scene of the groom carrying the bride into the room? LIFT

Have all sorts of fun under the cover. LIFT!

Going to get creamed by a vanguard charge? LIFT!

Soldier going to shoot at you? LIFT!

Sentinel put his super armor up? LIFT GOD DAMN IT!!!

I could go on, but nah. The Adept will always be superior because of that single ability. It's okay you got some tech armor, and milder abilities of the weakest abilities of two classes.

I'll probably switch to a Sentinel in ME2. I was playing as an Infiltrator in ME1, but I want Biotic powers.

Oh, and the Engineer class probably doesn't see much love simply because it's hard to make "Engineer" sound exciting, next to "Soldier", "Adept", "Vanguard", etc. It sounds like you're going to be spending the game doing routine maintenance on the Normandy.

Being a sentinel will make the game so much easier, having the tech armour makes you extremely hard to kill and the biotic and tech abilities give you the ability to deal with any situation without relying on your squad too much. It's a no brainer.

Sentinels are definitely popular enough with the people who matter. Trouble is, their voices are usually drowned out by a thousand "lol tech iz fr lamerz" posts.

Honestly, all the classes appeal to me. Every single one. Which is impressive.

Though I'll probably leave Vanguard till I'm confident of my abilities. It looks fun, and a good way to commit suicide.

Except if you lift enemies you don't have to worry about getting shot at.

Bosses with shields? Shoot them with your hand cannon specialized in taking shields down. Or your SMG. Then lift, tada. Win.

Lift is for wimps who are afraid of real combat. Sentinels are simply above such lameness.

Exactly. Sentinels freeze you and throw you into your buddies like a softball... for giggles.

Handheld thinks the sentinels actually have it a bit easy as Handheld was able to test a sentinel shepard during Handheld's test of the game and Handheld thinks tech armor is ridiculously awesome.

There we go. If Handheld says that Tech Armor is awesome, it's friggin' awesome.

I hope that bosses aren't too vulnerable to lift.  Reaper Saren was far too easy with two/three biotics.  Spam and blast away.  You could beat Saren without him attacking once.

I think that adepts are awesome as well. I am not going to argue that at all. I actually agree with a previous poster that thinks they all look great and I will probably play them all. That being said I think the biggest difference between adept and sentinel is what kinds of enemies they are most effective against.

I think adepts abilities will struggle against enemies that have larger mass and powerful shields. So large geth and mechs look like and issue since the biotics won't effect them as well.

Sentinels on the other hand have all the tools to mess with and debilitate one large and powerful enemy but will struggle more with numerous less powerful enemies than an adept would toy with like a kid shaking an ant farm.

I heard you can add a weapon to a class that typically wouldn't be able to use that weapon later in ME2.

If so, Sentinel w/ shotguns may be even better than a Vanguard.

Blank1 and Someinnothing seem to have the sum of it in my mind.
- Shields that CC at close range
- Highly effective nuking biotic and tech powers
- insane toughness
- great power combos
- good spike damage

The only negative I see is you can't use a weapon larger than an SMG. I won't deny there is a visceral glee in blasting the crap out of someone with a shotgun in one shot, but other than this lack of huge firearms power I don't see how people say they are "weaker" and their power is useless compared to other class specific skills. I really want to understand a good logical reason. All it seems like is just people saying "I can't insta-nuke everything or flex my 'roided muscles with my huge guns and my biotic charge!" (I know, the charge is cool, but seriously)

I don't know if you've played through with any other classes but as someone who's played (just the beginnings of, not the whole thing - I don't have the time) vanguard (this one I played very far into), infiltrator and sentinel, you are going to get BORED with the pistol and SMG. And it takes a pretty long time before you get a new weapon training: plenty of time to get bored. Yes, the tech armor is kind of cool but honestly you aren't killing people with it (relative to other class powers), and it really doesn't affect your strategy as much as a cloak (+ a really high damage boost to shots when cloaked) and a sniper or a shotgun and charge. It isn't [to me] as fun to have the MAIN class ability (which is usually the fun one) be a cool looking shield rather than a damage boosting cloak or the amazingly fun charge. If you set your points right with infiltrator you can turn your cloak into a 1-shot kill weapon even on insanity.

Honestly, just try the first couple levels with the vanguard, infiltrator and sentinel and see what you find to be the most fun. I mean, it worked for me.
