Hello, since i am using a pc configuration with an SSD for file systems that is only 50GB big,  i wonder if there is a way to change the packages/core/override directory for modding. Isn't it the same if i put all the mods in the override folder in the game data directory?

The proof of the pudding...

Depending on your system there may be some rights issues. You always 'own' your own user data tree but with the game directory that is not necessarily so. The toolset itself is b0rked and runs with elevated privs but other programs normally do not.

Mmh, so, i am not sure of what i understood...you meant that some mods might work, and some others might not?

Some manual install override mods might work if they are placed in the game install directory (textures, for instance). Anything that installs as a DAZIP is going to get dumped in the appropriate \My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age subfolders, though.

My workaround (since I like to keep a really clean C: drive) is to change the default location of entire My Documents folder to another drive, where it can be messy and take up lots of space... but I'm still running an positively ancient Windows XP system, and so I have no Idea whether such a thing is possible for you fancy-pants modern folk.

Hey, I didn't know you could do that. ^^^^ So, I'm going to try it when I install Win 7 64 bit. I have 4 partitions. Thanks TSM.... :)
