Damnit. I don't know why the mesh imports for the armors aren't working for me. The breather mask import worked, but not the armors or even the nerd glasses. Guess I'm going to have to employ some trial and error.

the glasses are for femshep, i didnt fit them to broshep. what armors are you trying to mess with?  is this your first time modding the game? if it is, you need to follow the directions in the link i posted at the begining of the thread.

 

what is it doing when you import the mesh? when you load the game, what does it look like, and what outfit is it?  sometimes my directions are screwy because i try to make them for every single outfit and i forget to change some things.  So tell me these things

 

1. first time modding me3 ? yes or no

2. what outfit are you trying to mod?

3. what is it looking like in game? can you post me a picture?

the glasses are for femshep, i didnt fit them to broshep. what armors are you trying to mess with?  is this your first time modding the game? if it is, you need to follow the directions in the link i posted at the begining of the thread.

I'm using femshep. I've modded in hair and the Jack breather mask so I don't know why the armors refuse to update in game. I'm trying to add the Liara armor btw. Your instructions are fine as I've successfully modded some things already. There is just something goofy happening on my end that I haven't been able to solve yet. Basically, the armor isn't updating at all in the game. No goofed up graphics or anything.

 

Edit: Just tried importing another hairstyle. It didn't work either. It may be related to me repairing the game the other day. I'm going to do a fresh setup of everything again.

ok, if you need instructions on how to do the perfect set up, i have a link listed at the top of my thread to Otte and her tutorial.  I use that tutorial all the time because i have a bad memory lol.

 

Let me know if this works for you, as a precaution i am going to check all of my liara outfits instructions to make sure i didnt mix anything up.

 

Are you using the MOAM coal file? If not, that helps get more outfits. 

 

just went through ALL of my Liara outfits and the instructions for them and they look good, doesnt look like i switched anything around. 

let me know what happens when you do a clean vanilla instal!

Thanks! i agree, its really awesome, especially for someone who isnt familiar with changing the coal file on their own i used it before i learned to make mods, so it was really awesome to have so many armors also the extra stats it gives your armors are awesome

 

 

I have been looking at the posts, thanks for uploading the male shep items. Also, I learned to back up all my files before saving. I believe I have multiples of the PCC files all over my PC to be save. I hope everyone gets the help they need. Cause you guys are awesome at helping. I've seen probably plenty of my own mistakes to make me laugh now some on how I ended up making them,

rule is, if it has skin it has to replace CTHK or CTHJ

 

if it is armor with no skin, it can replace most all FBD folders. You just need a special Spec file which I have made and posted before if you havent got it, i have a link.

 

but all my armor comes with instructions on where the file needs to go, all my instructions are tailored for that particular outfit, so there doesnt need to be any guessing.  I provide the right specs and if the armor can be placed in more than one folder i have placed two folders in the zip tell ing which folder you can choose. i hope this is what your asking

Mod i was thinking about is the Liara/EDI armor as that is in the clothing not the armor section and i wanted to replace one of the armors with it, but wasnt sure which file in BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R to replace.

 

For instance...

If i replace the mesh/textures for the blood dragon armor (FBDh) with the included files in Liara/EDI will it show correctly in the game, as i heard that you cannot replace some of the armors due to them incorrectly showing colors in the game.(thinking of a conversation i read in deviantart - ME3 EDI-Jill Outfit

"I replaced my FBDb file to bring this in and i lost the cool shiny weird black i may just have to move it to another slot. FBDb has the files switched, its not DTX1 for the diff, its DTX5, spec is switched too i think.  So mine looks normal flat black which is kinda boring"

i actually explained just that in my reply

 

the rule is, if it has skin on it it goes in the CTHK CTHj folders.

 

in order for you to get the outfit to work in the FBD folders, you need to paint your skin on, like how jacks skin is painted on, it isnt that weird iridescent color.  If you paint the skin on and you use that special spec file i made, then it can go into the FBDa folder.

 

IF IT HAS SKIN IT NEEDS TO BE PLACED IN THE CTHK CTHJ

 

the makers of the game did not intend for armor with skin  to be placed in tose fbd folders, that is why it looks weird if you do it.

 

As I stated above, I put in the instructions where the file can go. If I say CTHj, then just assume you can put it in CTHk as well.

 

If you want to paint your skin on like jacks, then you can place it in the fbd folders, using a special spec file, as i stated above, i have it and have released it before, if you need a link i can release it again.

HAHA! I know! i thought i lost them when i was banned too! I lost 90% of my mods that day, i never thought i would get banned! I even talked to a moderator the first day i was at nexus and i uploaded 25 mods in one day, i asked people to endorse them if they worked so i knew if they were working or not, well the moderator came and removed that message from all 25 mods and said nothing to me about them! just said i cant say what i said.  I said ok, and i was on my way! When i was banned, i had usually uploaded my mod, then deleted them from my computer to save space! Luckily I had some friends that had them all almost! So i was able to get them back! I thought the broshep ones were a goner. I am glad i found them too!  Oh, thanes armor, makes sheps hands like thanes, they are interesting, which i didn't notice firt time around. anyway sorry for the long post, i figured there might be others out there wonderin wth happened to me from nexus.
