well, when something like that woulda taken me about 6 hours to do, is now taking 19 hours per because my 3dsmax is messed up.  nothing is working right and i have to do a lot of work arounds to get everything right.  I am now REALLY only making stuff I really want, even for myself because it has become such a hassle to mod.  I have no idea what happened to my program, even with 2 new installs, it does the same thing over and over.  i might try to install it again idk. I will let you know if i get it fixed.

From a quick read on the net it seems like a lot of people are having issues with 3dsmax 2014!

User-Domain-Error, i noticed a gap in the Liara/Edi armor when i changed the field of vision. is this something i can rectify in the textures? This only shows during walking/running animation. If it is not a texture fix then please dont worry. i can easily live with this. Just asking

no, that is a modding thing. i cant fix it now, i am reinstalling, i use 3dmax design 2012, so its not 2014, because you cant mod i heard with that the scripts dont work in it.

 

also, if you have any other issues, can you just send me a message? I would appreciate that very much thanks!

i have 2012 something happened to it like over night, i must have hit something, or unchecked a box somewhere, i dont know what is happening.  i uninstalled it again and wiped all evidence of the program, not to install the scrips and shiz again.  this is so upsetting that it is acting like this!

your fine i appreciate your understanding i have so many mods with little issues, i just really started modding in november, making outfits, so i am not really a professional, i still do make mistakes, I try hard to find them all before i release them, and i actually use that outfit a lot nvr noticed the skin coming through.  if you mod, you can port the psk into 3dmax turn on the poylgon section or vertices and push the skin into the pants where it is showing then export the new psk and bring it into udk and make the udk file. If you delete anything on the psk, like the skin peekin through, it resets the UVW map and the textures will get all scrambled and it wont work in game, so never delete the problem unless you want to go through the re-texturing and organizing the UVW map all over again, makin new skin lol.

 

this answer is in reference to everyone that has the ability to mod and can fix the issues in my outfits in 3dmax.

awe thank you! i really appreciate that! i actually taught myself how to use 3dsmax i never had before! So i know that there is stuff i can do that i am missing, but i wouldnt know cause i only know how to do a few things! well, i am sure you heard of girlplaygames she has a tutorial that is how i learned, its missing a few things but its a great tool and it has pictures.

Ok, i fixed your issue because i was in a good mood that I got my 3dsmax workin again yay! so see if that help any, and let me knw. its hard for me to see the mistakes in max, but i think i got them!

So, looking around at things. I think it's amazing how people mod and use 3dmax. I tried to practice on vanilla game outfits with backups I made and I've had no luck. I have been searching sites on things. Seen some interesting sites with models from other games.

ya, its pretty amazing how you can pull things out of one game and put them in another with the right tools and some knowledge.  I am sorry you havent had any luck, just send me a note if you have questions. i can try to help

you can use a coal file called mother of all mods, that unlocks the helmets from the armor, or you can change the helm to the breather mask i have, or change that helm to the glasses i have.  the mother of all mods (MOAM) is a coal file that you use that gives you all kinds of outfits unlocked and helmets unlocked and it is really a must have.  if you need help finding it, let me know, i will try to get the link for you, but if you type MOAM you should find in in yahoo search easy

Ok I tried moam but after game crashed as I scrolled thru armor for the third time I ended up deleting the whole thing. But at least I can say I tried.
