I have not seen anything about it. Will we have it? If so, can we have free aim? I didn't like the DA:O route or just tapping the Button over and over in DA2..

Just askin'

I don't know about free aim (that's be cool), but we'll definitely have it.

Well, we have 2 archery companions, so I assume we'll have access to it...

The bow and arrow is my favourite weapon in fantasy games, so it's definitely one of the things I'm most looking forward to seeing combat-wise. I enjoyed it in DA:O more than DA2, but since then I've also been spoiled with Skyrim's first person archery which has kept me entertained for hours.

I am fairly certain Archery will be pretty much 80% the same as in DAO/DA2, where you autoattack (hopefully not like DA2 where you have to keep pressing attack) and sprinkle in some special abilities.

I really do hope there'll be free aim, something similar to skyrim's perhaps?  but in all likelihood it'll probably be like DAO with the autoattack.

A bow comes with the Flames of the Inquisition Pack...so...there will be bows.

We will definitely have it. We just won't have crossbows from what I hear (save Varric).

I just hope Archery becomes more viable in Inquisition. In Origins it was sorely underwhelming (and boring), and in DA2 companions were better suited for archery specialization wise (Varric/Sebastian) while Hawke's specs mainly revolved around melee dagger rogue. Archery has always felt like a debuff class in Origins, never really like an actual sniper like you could in the Elder Scrolls series.

That, and I do hope Rogue Inquisitors who specialize in the bow get to use their weapon of choice in cutscenes (like DA2 Legacy, where your specialized weapon/fighting style was used in cutscenes- sword/shield, greatsword, daggers, bow, magic).

I fully expect that it will be in DAI. I also agree with the above statements. I am hoping for some sort of medium between DAO and DA2 for archers. It has been underwhelming to play as the primary character, almost boring in a way. I am hoping for an improvement in DAI.

Archer is my favourite class i hope we see it at E3. Free aim i don‘t think it will happen.

Free-aim would make me so happy! Or at the very least the ability to start combat from range while you enemies are unaware. And not have them all charge you the moment you click on them because apparently they're Jedi.....looking at you origins :P

I like the bow.

I did a complete playthrough from beginning to end using only the bow in DA2.

Me too. I just don't like pressing one button mindlessly when it comes to something like the bow. Aiming would be a great start. I would never think that having the opportunity to miss sounds appealing to me but there it is.
