I've had some luck getting games to play better using "MSI Afterburner" (an overclocking tool -freeware) and "Razor Cortex game booster" (-freeware) also make sure you have the most compatible gpu driver for your particular OS or machine. I've got a Nvidia  -gt120 (pretty weak), but those 2 programs and some trial and error made my game play much better. TIP don't try to boost the gpu memory too much but do push to 99 % of msi's recommended clock speed (for that card. "it wont allow you to over do it and break the card,) tweak the fan speed to keep the heat down, and you should see a real difference. If the card gets too hot you'll hear a beep or alarm of some sort. Don't panic just stop what your doing and adjust your settings. Good Luck.

I wonder why Windows 7 64-bit was giving you such a hard time?  IIRC, I had some issues when I installed ME2 on my Windows 7 machine, but I Googled some stuff and found a solution.

I think I would have given up on ME2 rather than go back to Windoze Vista - especially 32-bit.
